People will probably not like the resistive touchpad.

Rubbish

And don't call people "kid". You sound like such an gobshite

The question for me is, are there any dealextreme tablets worth having or not? I would be interested to find out.

A resistive touchscreen is poor and very unresponsive.
A capacitive touchscreen is my number 1 essential
for a tablet touchpad as they are smooth and a pleasure
to use. Maybe our polite friend IIIuminati2010 does not
know of these differences. Perhaps he will let us know?

a resistive keypad may be liked by some

For multitouch a capacitive screen is currently a necessity but capacitive screens are very very low res, usually 1 sensor every 3 or 4 mm.
Resistive screens can not do multitouch but are higher resolution so allow the user to actually draw.

The next generation is Samsung and Microsofts infrared LEDs embedded at the same res as the actual pixels. Multitouch and 1 for 1 resolution with the screen.

Thanks kid - good find.

Except that Dealextreme have zero after service so I would not dare risk anything over a tenner with them

Definitely have to agree with the after service. If you need it - Tough!

Good effort kiddo, but it's cold this time I'm afraid.

After all the trouble I've had with their CS over a £2 item,I would definately steer clear when spending that sort of money.

I agree. I bought some earphones for my 9 year old daughter and the sent me a penknife by mistake, I contacted them and they said I should just keep the penknife and forget about it as it cost more. Only trouble is she keeps cutting herself when playing with it.
