You can subscribe to Google One and get 3% back on the £2.49 plan or 10% back on the £7.99 plan. Just remember that this credit will be added 30 days after purchase, so you may end up paying for two months of Google One

As an example, going by the £599 price for the Pixel 4 64GB on the £7.99 plan with 10% back, that's £59.90 credit earned for £15.98 based on two Google One payments (a £43.92 profit). Google One can be paid for using Google Play credit including any you've stacked up from Google Opinion Rewards

Cold!
Not surprised, I'm actually more surprised the discount isn't more!
Further proof that if you need a Pixel at launch, that it might be worth waiting for the inevitable black Friday money off. Interested to see if any carriers do good deals
Left this for you Obligatory heat added of course

Wow, really not going to sell any of those Pixel 4's with that measly discount.

The deal at launch was better, chromebook was worth at least £100-150
£70 saving on 4 not enough, GMarketing folks

Yeah, not massive, thought they'd give a lot more, keep an eye on contract deals around Black Friday, as that's where they offer the biggest discounts

Not bothered about the 4. Decent deal for 3a?

I think you need a hot drink lol
Should of been the launch price lol. Then a further £70-100 off. They really screwed this up and they had a good opportunity to blow the market wide open. Still the best camera no doubt but everything else is just....meh

That's rubbish. The US are getting $200 of the Pixel 4.

Reception hasn't been as good as expected, apparently... basically narrative is, Google tried to pull off the Apple trick on Android field once more (high price, low specs, over-reliance on software prowess & support, uncorrected flaws like battery life, charging speed) but didn't work anymore, because even Apple learnt (hard way) that those fundamental flaws were no longer acceptable.

I personally think narrative is exaggerated, but we all know what media do to sell stories...

£324 (minus £42 TCB/Quidco) @ mobile phones direct , includes 24 months of O2 30GB.
Perfect. Been holding out for this after returning my S10e a few weeks back. I'm assuming Currys etc will price match and I can just pick up in store from them?

I'd assume so, in fact I'd put my 16 phones on it

S10 5g en route

6.7'' display, kind of your size
A bit lame this. Google sticking a phone on their store website, at a relatively measly discount and then finding out it is still full price and is just a teaser. Whatever next.

How come you dropped the s10e for the 3a?
Shame really. I guessed a few weeks ago the prices would be :

3a 299
3a XL 329

Great phone, but has been this price or less in the past. Not a fitting price for "black Friday", or of a phone on the way out for the pixel 4 budget vetsions.
Hot for finding the deal, but quite honestly if Google are serious about competing in the flagship market against Samsung/Apple etc they really need to up their game the pixel 4 is mid range at best! pathetic specs and even worse battery.
HertzVR18/11/2019 22:07

Mainly battery life. I know lots of people are happy with the phone but my experience was pretty poor. I'm not a heavy user at all, I don't game or watch videos. I mostly use my phone for photos, browsing the internet, citymapper, whatsapp etc...those kinds of apps. I had the brightness at about 25%, disabled various other features and after giving it about 2 weeks to learn my usage and supposedly improve battery life I was only getting about 2.5 hours of screen on time at best. At a wedding I went to and took about 25 pictures I had just under two hours, it was a joke. I may have had a faulty model but I didn't want to go back and forth returning it so got a refund.
I hear good things about battery life on the 3a and the camera is good, although I will miss the ultra wide angle lens on the S10e as that was awesome, I think the rest will be fine as I'm not a heavy user and am used to the vanilla android experience.
