Got this at xmas when it was £14.99 very good value, similar one at ELC would be about £40

Having spent a small fortune on a set like this, I know it is a good deal!!

Great deal, but out of stock in Bletchley & Milton Keynes. Voted hot for the price though.

To guarantee the availability of any item of stock in Argos, you can order the item online to be reserved at your selected store ready for you to collect. Just click buy/collect under the item description then select 'reserve for store pickup' on next option. Argos will email you a reservation number & you pay instore on collection.

(NB: can do the same over the telephone if you have the specific 3 digit store number on 0870 600 1010)

The wording made me think it was ordered online rather than reserved, sadly none near me.

Sorry to hear about that. I would advise having a browse throught the clearance section of the Argos website as there were some other big discounts on childrens toys etc

Hope you find another bargain (& be sure to post it as I'm present shopping) :-D

Will do - I just find it a slow website and as today often it reports cookie problems when there are none.

PS depends on age etc but Little People are always [o[ular argos.co.uk/sta…htm

I liked the Mama & Papas rocking animal for £24.99 (about £10 cheaper than froogle) which had availability

They must add clearance stock on an ongoing basis & it's just a case of being the first one to notice & save some money. Happy hunting ! :w00t:

Think you must have seen a mis-price. I checked in my local Asda today & the Asda Play & Learn 80 piece wooden train set is £18.98, not £9.99.

No they used to sell a couple - a 60 piece was ~£8.99 and a 100 piece was £9.99. Haven't seen them locally since before Christmas but they definitely had them in for at least 6 months last year - sadly not a time I wanted to buy one! My local doesn't have any at any price now.

Just picked up the piarte set from Newbury - haven't built it yet (its a birthday present), but it looks great - good size, very sturdy and loads of bits and pieces - cannons, barrels, pirates, trap doors etc.....It should go down well in my house! Highly recommended anyway.

Pleased you were able to get the pirate set. I found the train set whilst looking for the wooden castle set, but couldn't get any stock locally. It's another substantial set reduced from £29.99 to £14.99, but unfortunately no stock

Extremely envious! I'm going to check local stores again just in case they've got more stock. So when are you building the extension to house all these toys ? :giggle:

LOL

I'm hoping the castle can be waterproofed for outside use. I don't believe it'll be there when I go tomorrow.
