Thanks for putting picture up. Was just doing it.

It may be called a grinder, but it actually chops the beans.

But a great price to blitz spices and coffee beans. Heat added.

If you want good coffee from beans, don't buy a blade grinder... they can burn the beans.

The Hario Skerton, a manual, ceramic burr grinder is Excellent, pared up with Gaggia Classic, you can make espresso's as good as shop bought... if not better.

Good for making curry "power" though.

agreed, I've bought 2 of these in the past but having changed over to a burr grinder I wouldn't go back.

Anyone know if grinders like this can grind betel nuts or are they too hard to be grinded with these? If not, can Burr grinders do it?

these come from Japan and invoke import fees and handling charge. cost more like £30. I want one but not at that price. £7 for a chopper might suit the average person.

Agree.. I'd also add that a blade grinder ( unlike a burr grinder ) smashes the beans into a range of sizes from dust to lumps which is useless if you want to make good esspressos.

Mine came Japan, and had NO fees.

Nice things cost money, best £20 I ever spent.

Not sure if it was the case when you first recommended this, but Amazon themselves are selling it for £20.86 if it is of interest to the people who don't want to chance ordering it from Japan. They're tempporarily out of stock at the moment, but if people are in no rush for it they can still pre-order it and it will be delivered when it becomes available.

Great for grinding eggshells...
