Personally I don't buy it as it's still to expensive compared to Aldi own but I know people like this and £1.29 is a good price for Heinz.

my local has the bottles with the foreign label on the back with a BBD of either end of Feb or March 2023. Luckily before this batch they had UK sourced bottles with a BBD of March 2024 on them so grabbed 4 bottles at that time.

Was about to say same thing. Got 8 of the UK sourced bottles couple weeks ago dated March 2024 and when I was in there last week it was the foreign label bottles dated Feb 23.

went home worried that I picked up 8 bottles that were due to run out at end of month so was pleased to see that wasn’t the case

We use way too much of this in our household. The kids (now lumbering teenagers) are full-on addicted to it. Unfortunately they won't accept any kind of substitute.
Wife gets Heinz from Amazon, on S&S, so 15% off the advertised price, but that's nowhere near as cheap as this deal @ £1.84/kg.
If you're like us, keep an eye out for the Iceland Food Warehouse, who sometimes have the 1.35kg bottles (currently £4) for £3 (£2.22/kg), or £3.50 (£2.59/kg), nationally, so we stock up when they have it on offer.
Cheapest Supermarket (according to Trolley.co.uk is currently ASDA at £3.80/kg.
However, reading the comments above, I'll definitely be nipping into Aldi at some point to try theirs, for £1.20/kg!
    groceries.aldi.co.uk/en-…293

If you're local to Small Heath, Birmingham, this store claims to be doing the 1.35kg bottles for £2.49 (£1.84/kg), so the same as this deal.

That’s a really good price…. I’ve stopped buying Heinz got ALDIs own brand washed out the old Heinz bottle and filled it with the Aldi version… no one noticed so informed them of what I’d done…. Saves me a fortune as the kids inhale the stuff!!

Same here! I find the Aldi own brand of ketchup much nicer, not to mention cheaper but my son absolutely loves Heinz, always has. So I bought the Aldi version for the first time, and waited while he tasted it and he couldn't tell the difference money saved and no moaning from my boy win/win

Heinz ketchup is one of the few things I've found which really can't be beaten by Aldi/Lidl own brand stuff despite trying very hard! The M&S stuff is good but still not as good IMHO. So many other things in Aldi/Lidl which are actually better than branded equivalents.

Batt's Tomato Ketchup from Lidl has come very top of tasting test, even beating Heinz at no. 2

Not sure why this is funny, it's absoltely true. It also has the highest percentage of actual tomato in. The only problem is all our local Aldis have been completely sold out of this for months.

Heinz everything in Tesco is sooo expensive. Nearly £4 for a big bottle tom sauce, and soups almost £2 a tin...

So this is a bargain (edited)

Heinz, and other luxury foodstuff staples like Marmite, need to be taught a lesson about how their products are not worth a premium. I no longer buy them. The alternatives are not as nice, but they're not 3 or 4 times as nice.

There is a ceiling on how much you can charge for a clothes peg. If they're 10p I'll buy them. if you make them gold plated and charge £3 then I'll make do with something else.

I recommend the Waitrose essential ketchup at 90p for a 470g bottle, slightly runnier than Heinz but good balanced taste.
Heinz would be my first choice but its hitting a ridiculous £4 per bottle now which makes this a fantastic deal!

Don't think this is the uk version and looks a lot darker that normal so might have different ingredients?

Think it's just the light from the photo. Looked just the same as 900g bottles they had.
