Good deal, I think and I hope you will not need to use it but 5 months life cover for £25 plus £75 Amazon gift voucher seems like no brainer. Alternatively you can go through TCB and get £80 in cash.Cancel cover after 5 months.

LV have changed T&C and voucher is now sent after 12 months... HUKD strikes again. TCB offer is now the one to go for

I'd be gutted if I died after 4 months

If you were a REAL HUKDer, you'd cling on just for the voucher.

How to cancel? What are the penalties for canceling?

Ignore.

So pay £125 and get a £75 voucher? Terrific.

I think it means £5 per month for 5 months, totaling £25.

I normally cancel DD but you can also phone them up. Financial regulations means that there no minimum period so can cancel any time

Sorry if it's not clear enough, minimum cover is from £5 a month, so minimum 5 months payments are £25 after which you get sent £75 Amazon gift card and you can either continue with the cover or cancel it any time, hope this clears things up

T&C says no, I think if you go through TCB it takes you to different landing page

In T&C:
"We will aim to send the gift card within 28 working days of receiving your fifth monthly premium. Please allow time for delivery."
28 working days is approx a month and a half.
Also states:
"Customers paying monthly premiums will not be eligible for a gift card if a monthly payment is missed during this time."
therefore you can't cancel until you get the amazon giftcard.

Therefore could be 7 monthly payments (5 months + 2 months) before you can cancel = £35 payment. Also only says "aim to send" so could take longer.

Still a good deal if you need the amazon vouchers but not sure its worth it if you are buying just for the sake of it ...

Instead, if someone is interested it's better to go via Topcashback as they are paying £ 80 for LV= life insurance (offer ends in 4 days). And, in terms, they did not mention any specific months - you can cancel once you get cashback into your account on tcb which generally happens within 90 days of purchase happened, means you will end up paying £ 15 or £ 20 and will get £ 80 cash back into your account and not any specific retailer voucher.

win win - live or die

and in case of death in 6th month you get both. 76075.

I am sure it will leave rock hard foot print on your credit file. Not worth abusing.

t+c's state cashback won't be paid until 6 months premiums have been taken and in some cases it can take 8 months for cashback to track. so that would be a minimum of £30 :-)

Only leaves soft search so shouldn't have any impact

I've been looking for life insurance and this is a good old bargain. Gonna get the mrs involved with this then push her over a cliff in 6 months!! 214k and. £75 Amazon! Boom!!

Probably worth pushing her over just for the £75 voucher.

oO

I'd take the voucher instead of risking the cashback for an extra fiver, it may not track. Great deal.I have a couple of policies with them, both a fiver a time.

LV= will cancel any plans or gift card should they discover or have a reasonable suspicion that the terms of the offer are being abused.

Thanks, I went direct with LV as the TCB cashback offer suggested it could take up to 14 months and on top of that if you had had a quote from a price comparison site you may have not got it.

What if you are superstitious. Is it worth doing

argos also have hurricane insurance for £7 pm & you get £100 after 3 months.
Edited by: "Dizzlepro" 15th Feb

If you use money savings expert site you get £75 voucher from other places like argos after the third payment. I looked and the prices seem better

Not 100% convinced that everyone can get cover for £5ppm .... Best I seem to be able to get is £35,000 for £6.12. So YMMV most likely depending on your age ... and possibly any existing health conditions that you will need to declare as you go through the full and very detailed health questionnaire. So possibly not the best deal for everyone.

topcashback never paid out for me and I didn't use any offers or receive any discount cards

So you can cancel at any time on the 5 year plan without penalty?

Is it gonna affect your credit score?

I heard it is very unlucky to be superstitious...

Appreciate the offer here is to cancel after a few months. That's fine if you already have life cover. If not then anyone with dependents should have term assurance life cover of 10 to 12 times your annual salary. It's really cheap these days and worth it for peace of mind.

Just signed up for £5.01 I was paying £5.00 with Aviva for the same cover so switched for the voucher. Thanks op

No, they only do soft search that only you can see and not lenders

if it doesn't track you will die of heart disease.

Never had life insurance before but have been meaning to get it for years. Can anyone explain to me why you would pick a time scale for the cover to last ?

X)

They'll probably realise lots of people are signing up for the voucher and therefore delay the sending of them until the 28th working day after 5 months...
