Don't know why this is cold. I need to upgrade my life cover and £75 in vouchers seems a nice little incentive.

Especially as you could go in for 4 months only if you felt like it - and take away a £50 profit

All insurance policies can be cancelled at any time - that's the law.

However, avoid taking out finance deals to fund them, as that's another story.

You will receive the voucher after your 4th payment.

Seeing as this deal was posted 3 months and 3 weeks ago and that it would have taken 1-2 weeks for the direct debit to be set up and the 1st payment taken, no one would have got the voucher yet.

Check in 3 weeks time.

My £75 M&S Voucher just arrived in the post, now how do I cancel the policy ?

Do you mind me asking...what date did you sign up and when was the first payment taken? Also, are they paper vouchers or a gift card?

To cancel either contact them, cancel the direct debit with your bank or do both. I've always just cancelled the direct debit without any problems.

Signed up 30/11/15 for cover to start on 01/12/15
We're very happy to confirm that your application has been accepted and your cover will start on 01/12/2015 as requested.

I received a Black M&S Giftcard (printed on card) verified the amount loaded on line and its £75 as advertised.

Thanks for replying. does that mean you got away with 3 payments or did they take a 4th payment too?

They have taken 4 payments from my account via DD, so just cancel it now and should be ok ?

Yep. you'll get a couple of warning letters (nothing to worry about) and then it will cancelled.

I haven't received anything yet. Signed up on 23/11/15 with cover starting 01/12/15. 4th payment came out by DD on 7/3/16

£75 Gift card arrived this morning.....not bad for a £24 investment!

*Update* Gave them a quick call to cancel policy and I have cancelled DD on online banking. Confirmation of cancellation letter sent out in 7 to 10 days they say. Tried to persuade to keep policy but only on the phone a few minutes overall.

Well surprisingly I got my £75 gift card this morning despite 3 payments having come out.

I just want to point people's attention to the following term on legal and general's website:

Legal & General will cancel any plans or gift cards should they discover … Legal & General will cancel any plans or gift cards should they discover or have a reasonable suspicion that the terms of the offer are being abused.

As I have no plan to spend the £75 over the next few weeks and to play it safe, I have ordered a £75 gift card with my £75 gift card.

Free delivery, a choice of designs to choose from, 2% cashback with quidco, sparks points and I'll get more sparks points when I spend the £75.

Received my gift card in the post today. So did my wife. Easy £102.

I'm amazed at how so many people fail to double these kind of offers up by simply filling in a second application for their partners (with their consent of course).

Maybe we do but don't post it about on here.

Nah, I reckon most don't. Take the bank switching gravy train, for example. There's no shortage of folk telling how they've made £400/£500/£600 from switching 4 or 5 bank accounts. I (erm we) have made £1,300 in the last 8 months from 4 bank switches and 2 Shepherds Friendly ISA's (via topcashback).

I assume you missed out on yorkshire bank's/clydesdale bank's multiple switch incentive game? Between the whole family we amassed lots and lots of debit cards.

Tell me more.......

I (we) switched to Yorkshire Bank and made £300. The kids are too young to sign up, and I'm pretty sure you can only switch to YB or Clydesdale once, so I'm thinking we've maxed that one out. Have I missed something?

There was a 3 or 4 month period where the terms stated one switch incentive per account (not per person as with other banks). So it meant you potentially could have opened several accounts and got several £150 switch incentives per person. They soon closed that loophole.
