An all-round peat free compost for general use. This compost contains added John Innes materials to provide higher moisture and nutrient retention than most basic multipurpose composts. It is suitable for sowing seeds, rooting cutting, transplanting seedlings and filling hanging baskets and other plant containers. The product is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors
Contains essential plant nutrients and trace elements
Contains wetting agent for easier watering.
Do not use for Ericaceous plants. When planting out or potting up ericaceous plant species, use B&Q Ericaceous Compost

Peat-free. Better for the peat bogs, rubbish for your plants.

Oh, my brother has just gone to get compost from b & q and all. Wonder what he is going to come back with. If not this stuff, i can go on about the deal i saw on here :whistling:

John innes:

John Innes is not a manufacturer of compost, they are a range of composts developed at the John Innes Institute, named after John Innes, a nineteenth century property and land dealer in the City of London. On his death in 1904 he bequeathed his fortune and estate to the improvement of horticulture by experiments and research. The result was the establishment of the John Innes Horticultural Research Institute initially at Merton in Surrey, but now located at Norwich

Better one at Netto.....55litres for £1.99.equates to 275 litres for £9.95

You do get 5 extra litres with netto one, true, but if our Netto is anything to go by you have a much better chance with B&Q
