If you do manage to get this deal, I have found NordVPN to be excellent. Speeds are the same as if you wasn't using it and the app (mobile & PC) is very intuitive.

First, extra layer of safety against hackers trying to steal your bank account pass.
Second, let's say you living abroad and you would like to watch BBC news on the web but it gives you an error due to your localisation, with VPN you can "cheat" the system and watch UK programs being in Japan etc.
Third at last but not the last, any Peer2Peer usage, torrents etc. If you want to be safe that no one will accuse you for downloading copyrighted content, you will need VPN. Let's say you want to get Linus system from torrents, but someone used Linux name for newest avengers movie...you could have problems (that's very far away from reality, just to give you an idea)

Sure I've read on another thread on HUKD you can leave it as USA so you don't have to pay the 20% VAT, takes it down further to USD 95 or so.

£13 a what? month/year/onetime payment?

£13 a what? month/year/onetime payment?

One time payment. I’ve had it a few months and it performs well
Customer service is quick and it’s easy to swap devices when the need arises
Hopefully the deal will come back on here soon as I cannot recommend it enough.

Cyberghost or nord?

Depends what do you need. I had CG for 3 years now and I've been happy with it (no police at the doorstep ;D ). Then I thought I will try Nord. Same place, same internet provider and speed. Struggle to rich half of the speed CG was running on without any problems. To be clear, you cannot get a full speed of 100mbps from Virgin with NordVPN. Any server I tried ends up around 70 top, many goes to 50 only. It is sad as hell. I wish to get rid of it for a fraction of price, and go back to cyber ghost, but I was stupid enough to buy 3yr licence.

It works fine for my needs. I am just a casual browser with maybe a little stream thrown in here and there. I can check the speed when I get home.

That really doesn’t bother me.

Just to add i use nord and i am very happy with it so far, previous VPN i used was slow and would always disconnect - I have nord setup on my i phone and it stays connected solidly.

They have a 900GB fair use policy and you buy a subscription for a set number of devices, would seem reasonable they would need to monitor total amount of traffic and number of connected devices to enforce these policies. Doesn't say they monitor what the traffic is, but rather just how much you use. Unless you buy a vpn service with true unlimited data and unlimited number of connections then i'm sure any other service would need to check these as well in order to enforce their own policies. Again i'm no vpn expert so if i'm off base please let me know

I've generally been happy with Nord but noticed a significant drop off in speeds the last couple of months.

Great VPN but unfortunately I had an update today on android that removes the ad blocking function they call cybersec, google have forced nord to remove it
£13 deal for 5 devices - does it allow you to change the device or the 5 you originally use it on need to continue?

Also your internet service provider stores every tiny thing u do and often can sell it to third parties. Nord is considered the best because of it military style encryption and location in panema. Meaning no warrants could even be issued to them in the first place!

Sounds like you have it all figured out
I've been using PIA for the last couple of years with no issues and even with the reduction this 3 year deal is more expensive than their 1 year deal. Any reason to change?

I'm with PIA too and been very happy. I am looking to change to Nord for a couple of reasons.

PIA is American based and so within the 5 eyes which could be a surveillance concern if you are concerned about privacy. Not a major concern for most, particularly as PIA claim to not keep logs. Nord Vpn is based in Panama not part of any of any known global survelience intelligence network.

Also Nord has more servers in more countries and allows more devices if my memory serves me right.

Think I'm going to wait for black Friday and/or cyber Monday deals to see what each are offering.

When you factor in the topcashback the price differences between the two is minimal, in fact Nord might even come out better.
Sorry for being a noob with this , does the vpn provides you the internet that a household needs or do i still need an internet provider like virgin in order vpn to work thanks
Anyone got a working link?
jay11211225/10/2018 22:55

Cyberghost or nord?

I have a few subs to vpn's, including a lifetime subscription to cyberghost.

Sadly, I'm sure that I read recently that they have been bought by an advertising company. I'll see if I can find the quote.
Shilled by many affiliate sites, questionable privacy and reports of pretty variable speeds.

I'd avoid personally.
