20 cans of magners 440ml cans for £12, works out at 8.8 litres or just under 15 and a half pints, works out around 77p a pint not bad going really and they don't have the tinny taste like most alcoholic cans have,

by "chops" do you mean your cheeks?
Math to me is as bad as every Snowflake voting labour without any life skills or knowledge. Everything the lazy easy way oh and give me a house, large salary and holidays. I can then post everything to Facebook, snapchat and all my other useless communication tools pretending everyone is interested.

I do. It is a Yorkshireism, I allow them for whatever reason.

You obviously didn't do well at economics. Supermarkets are able to offer much lower prices compared to pubs down to pure buying power. The more units they buy, the cheaper they get it for. Your local just cant compete. its the governments fault for letting supermarkets to sell alcohol.

It used to really annoy me too. I accept the criticism. For some reason, while most Americanisms get me near to apoplectic, that one no longer does.
I'm pretty sure, now, that it's the word "litres" in the post that's dooming this deal.
Cider drinkers need something that speaks to them, to their needs, their aspirations, in clear unambiguous terms, no boffin-speak, none of those poncy southern numbers.

Mr. Macleod could sort out your post in a heatbeat for you. The man is the master of brevity, possibly the finest of a generation.

That still doesn't justify pubs charging x5 the price !

Pubs might be closing but the breweries aren't.

Do you understand about loss leaders ? Supermarkets often sell alcohol at below cost as it gets the family in for the week's shopping. There are many times when they are selling a particular product below the duty that they have to pay on it. It's impossible for pubs to sell and compete on price with supermarkets. Other than purchase price the pub has business rates, heating, lighting, staff costs etc etc.

I don't have a pub now. I decided customers were often rude, obnoxious and aggressive. One boxing day a large family group decided that they didn't like a brother in law. One of the brothers pulled a TV of the wall and threw it at him. He ducked and it went through the window narrowly missing a baby in a pushchair. Another landlord was shot when a carpark fight bullet came through a window. It had already gone through it's original target. These weren't rough pubs and were in up market areas.
