£7.99 Lifetime Cost after £1 trial box of SimplyCook!

This deal is expired. Here are some options that might interest you:

A trial box of SimplyCook normally is £3, but if you sign up for the website before going through with entering your card info, you should get an e-mail luring you back with a discounted price of £1. (This is what happened to me, if it doesn't work for you I'm sure you can find loads of £1 referral codes online. I won't post mine as I feel it's unfair) I received my trial box, and I just today am cancelling my subscription because while it is very convenient and makes amazing tasting meals, where the heck am I going to find "Red Pepper Stock" in my Tescos? I'll struggle to make the same meals I really like again. I then get this pop-up:

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND
This box is not like Gousto or HelloFresh in that it does NOT come with the ingredients required to make the recipe. You pay £7.99 for the seasonings for 4 meals that serve 2 people each (you might have to pay more if you want it to serve a family). Most of the meals don't require anything crazy expensive and they e-mail you a nice shopping list reminder as well which is convenient.

Still a lot of money for a little box of spices - if you go to your local Asian grocery store you can often find a good selection at a fraction of the cost.

Yeah for sure, it's mainly the convenience you are paying for though unfortunately. I did find it very useful!!
4 meals for 4 people for £1 isn't bad tho. wouldn't want to pay 7.99 as that is a lot.
so aselle....what is your refer a friend code please as I'm not getting the email for the discount
you may as well get a free box out of it
I did this awhile ago so have been receiving these for £8 for awhile. I like what they offer, it makes sure I make different meals and unlike the Hello Fresh type offers I can make them whenever I like, not within a few days of receiving the box.

Only downside is the slow delivery rates.

This was def one of the benefits I reaped, was not having to feel pressured to make all of them within 4 or 5 days before the ingredients went off. It becomes expensive when the items go bad.
I do agree with people saying that it can be a rip-off, but mind you what is included isn't just normal seasonings like a packet of "cumin" or "oregano" it's mixtures of certain things already pre-prepared so like garlic paste and a stock that's already been prepared with the seasonings inside of the stock if you see what I mean. It does simplify the shopping list a bit, and adds tons of flavor with loads of different cuisine options. I find it useful when I'm getting bored of cooking the same recipes. Most of them only take around 30 mins too!
Cold, 7.99 for a bit of stock and spices is a joke

We have had 3 of these for the last 3 months. Really useful, not lazy at all as you still have to buy & cook the ingredients, but because of that you can choose the cost & quality of it. Some good recipe ideas & spice blends. Clear instructions & ingredients in the packs ( meaning copying the blends should be easy ). Finally being able to tailor selections to dietary needs is really useful when you have had to drastically change your diet & struggle to find flavour. Every one we have tried has been really tasty & delivered within a reasonable timescale. Expensive, yes, useful, yes, tasty, yes, lazy, not Really!! Actually having one tonight, Peruvian Chicken.....

We have subscribed for 2 years now and have done all the recipe's. I love their boxes ! easy to follow and have always turned out the way the should ! i would recommend to anyone to give it a try !
I’ve tried most of their recipes and they’ve all been genuinely delicious, and dead easy to cook.

I’m amazed that a few people here think it’s a rip off! Of course it’s going to be more expensive than sourcing the ingredients individually, when is this ever not the case? You’re paying for the convenience, a great chef’s R&D, and clear packaging / instructions. In that respect I find these represent good value for money.

Worth a punt at this price of nothing else!
