Thought I'd give them a go before I posted, but these are stepping up. Part of the Tommy Walsh range, but they didn't bend, they didn't feel overly hot and the coating didn't fly off. These look to be doing the job very nicely!

What did you drill into to test?

You are better off buying a more expensive set you will be lucky if these last a year. Had a cheap set once and the drill bit melted.

A Bomb Shelter perhaps .....

Cheap drills....made of chocolate !

Not everyone buying/using these will be a home owner intending to build up a quality tool kit which will last a lifetime !
These are perfect for people in short term rental for example, or anyone who's away from home and left their quality kit behind, or just needs one of these for a quick job...... etc etc
I've used pound shop stuff many times for jobs where it all gets binned afterwards - for example when living abroad and had to do a quick repair before leaving a rented flat, just popped down the local 'multiprecio' and saved myself a major penalty/argument at a cost of a couple of pounds.

What is this a Poundland stock listing site?

Bought both masonary and wood sets, used a few bits to do a few jobs around the house with no problem.
I'm not going to argue that their excellent quality, but since I don't have many tools with a few loose drill bits.
I paid 2 pound for 16 bits kept nicely together in a case. I think I've had my £2's worth.
