Is it me or is which like a consumer-advocacy type magazine that try to help customers save money etc

But these tactics are like 99% aimed at hoping the customer would forget about the subscription and end up paying for it.

Seems abit backwards if u ask me. But obviously for those that remember its a free £7 profit

Try to screw Which? by remembering to promptly cancel the trial by the use of an alarm in your mobile.

You can only cancel AFTER 30 days so it depends on which month you take it out on

Stupid question maybe but I assume you can do this through topcashback and quidco if you use different email addresses/postal addresses?

Great, ta. One more question... it says I’ll be charged on 3rd of next month, but that’s exactly 30 days, so I’ll need to cancel on 29th day. Will that not work?

basically it means they wont pay if you cancel straight away without trying the product first as it implies it is a trial, as long as you leave it till the last couple of days of the trial before you cancel you will be fine, i have done a few in the past without problem.

You can call them on 29th day(I have done it last time) so that it will be stayed cancelled from day 30 on. You will get cashback only if you complete 30 days trial. You can also cancel the direct debit.

Will they just not pay out any TCB once you have cancelled it?

Sorry dumb question. I've never used quidco before so I'm confused about how it works. Do I just sign up to which normally? And how does quidco know or track the 30 days an pay the cashback?

"At the end of your trial or offer period, your membership will continue …"At the end of your trial or offer period, your membership will continue automatically at the standard rate unless you tell us otherwise during your trial. Soon after you register with us, we will write to you to confirm when your trial or offer period starts and ends, and that if we don’t hear that you want to cancel by the end of this period, your subscription will continue at the standard rate previously notified to you. You may cancel your subscription at any time during your trial or offer period by emailing which@which.co.uk or calling us on 01992 822800."

Thanks for the info calner1 - but can anyone detail exactly what you need to do to cancel the subscription once you've taken it - is the only option to call the number/email as you've listed above as there is no ability within the account settings to cancel it?

ive no idea tbh as ive not looked into it, if it cant be done in the account settings then il just phone them up 1 day before my trial period ends, they say they will write to you (email?) and let you know the date that your trial period ends

EDIT: just had the email from them...
Your regular payment of £10.75 for your Which?, Legal Consumer Advice and which.co.uk subscription will be due on 8 December 2017 and will be taken monthly on or around the same date thereafter.

so, il phone and cancel on the 6th of December just to be sure

Cheers calner1, you've come to the same conclusion as me - phone/email them as no options online!

Which magazine pls?

I shouldn't worry about the 30 days - I've done this wheeze a few times

you get your cashback nice and quickly, under 30 days - then just cancel direct debit

Tanks

you might need a couple of days by the bank for the cancellation to be effective.

What do you mean buddy am new to all this? Cash back stuff?

If u delete the dd of your bank app, will you still be a member accruing debt?

As I don't like phoning if there was an easier way to cancel? The call will prob cost the 8 quid cash back no?

Did this a few months back (I actually wanted Which for a month as I had several appliances to buy and figured it would be useful), no problems either cancelling or getting my cashback.
