The Walton’s Value Overlap Shed (8’ x 6’) is a great value storage space for your property. The apex roofs have a high roofline ideal for storing longer or taller items and helping to provide additional headroom on the interior. They also allow rainwater to drip from the top of the building rather than collect in puddles. The extra low price of this shed is due to the construction which is assembled through overlapped Timber. This shed also utilises rigid, interior 28mm x 28mm framing which makes the build all the more durable. The floor and roof are built from solid sheet materials for added stability. This type of flooring gives the shed a secure feel. The foundation of the shed includes numerous bearers to ensure that your floor is not sitting on damp ground.

Overlap + OSB board for roof and floor, worst material for a shed.

You need T&G Ship-lap throughout if you want the shed to last more than 2 years.

I find it often helps with these types of advert to replace 'VALUE' with 'REALLY CHEAPLY MADE' to help understand what your really getting

It works in Tesco and most other retailers who are good at marketing :-)

Got one of these 5 years ago and still like new. Don't know what you guys are on about.

Save your cash, I bought an overlap from Waltons last year... Really poor quality. Wish I'd spent a bit more and got a tongue and groove one

This shed is great for the money . Great company to deal with also .

Not sure how you get all the Waltons in here lol?....
heat added anyway.

You must have your shed sitting inside your house if its 5 years old and like new. X)

I used to build these sheds, they are same as the Wash & Go B&Q ones that last 1 year and then fall apart in one soggy heap. The solid sheet material the above shed roof and floor is made from is OSB (Oriented strand board), over time it acts as a sponge and your roof and floor will massively sag.

To buy a decent quality shed that will last years, you want the shed to be made from live T&G ship lap tanalised tongue and groove timber, at least 2x2 framework and tanalised tongue and groove roof and floor.

These cheapo sheds are not worth all the hassle, trust me.

Oh and the price is wrong - it's £199.95, not £199....

Dont waste your money... the shed is poorly made, flimsy and wont last long. I got one a few months ago and really regret it

Company is a brilliant brand name for sheds and these things last for 5 years

SHEDS COME WITH A 10 YEAR WARRANTY - I made a successful claim for an old one after 6 years.

you must have too much time on your hands - the deal went out of stock

I am after a shed, but want a decent one that will last.

ebay.co.uk/itm…178

To the experts out there, is this good quality with it being 13mm thick tongue and groove, 1" thick floor and treated wood

Or which is a decent one to get

Such mixed reviews, must mean worse than good!

Usertheforceluke

Lol. So your shed was so good after 6 years you made a claim. Hahaha

I have shed 7 year old 12foot t and g shed thats still mint despite being under several trees

3 Years+ no issues with this shed

Pay extra and get a decent made shed these are crap

5 foot 2 inches from floor to lowest roof point, made for midgets.

As others have said, spend a bit more on a proper shed, made to a decent size and from quality materials.

It is far better quality than the rubbish one from Waltons.

My shed was built by my father 40 years ago from reclaimed fish boxes and other recycled materials. I only replaced the roof last year!

I'm sure it would be ok, I spent abit more on a shiplap version and even that had more warps then Captain Kirk. If you are handy you won't have many issues. Floors abit thin but you can add extra ply sheets

I have a 16 x 7 pent workshop (extra height 6' 6" to 8') coming from Urban Forest next week. 19mm T&G tantalised for both walls and roof. The 1" solid wood floor, sturdy framework and floor joists are tantalised also. A good weight 40kg mineral felt too. Could not find a better spec for the money (£1020 delivered and fitted). Apart from Viking Garden Buildings which also do nice spec sheds and more customisable (roof upgrades, guttering etc) but had poor experience with them so decided to go with Urban Forest. There was a 7 week lead time for my shed from Urban Forest.

How is the shed?

lovol

How is the shed?

They delivered and fitted (took about 1.5 hours) on Sunday morning. I am very impressed with it. All very sturdy and well constructed. It came with all the panels pre-constructed (1" thick flooring screwed to the floor joists, 19mm T&G nailed to the framework for the walls and roof) and then the panels were all screwed together. The fitters were excellent and made sure I was happy with during the process of installation. Seeing the solid construction with the tantalised timber throughout I can see this lasting quite a long time.

Hope this helps.

Very nice mate, cheers for the update

COLD - I dont need a shed.

Well I did recommend Urban Forest Timber Buildings but I would not now. After 9 months the roof is leaking! And I paid for a thicker roof too... And they will not fix it saying their warranty is 3 months. Clearly they do not care about consumer statutory rights.

Yikes, I'd made a mental note of this thread when you posted and was impressed. I am now ready to buy my shed but boy am I glad I revisited this. Back to square one! There are some nice one's on ebay but once again I'd want something with some customer support. I think I'll try an buy local. (Bucks).
