Last time I saw these up people recommended to up-cycle old washing machine drums. Either ebay it for £30-40 or get an old washing machine drum and stick some legs on it. I've used mine for 2 yrs now and it's been great.
May buy another one day and modify it to be 2x height but otherwise its been pretty robust.
Be careful when using these . I got one from Home Bargains last year and the legs got soft with the heat causing it to topple over. Now I put a couple of house bricks under it as a precaution .

Pah! I thought that I was the only one to have had the ingenuity to do this. You're right though - it works a treat.

Or use a tractor wheel rim on an old trampoline base. Works brilliantly as an incinerator, barbecue and fire pit!
I wonder how many people have these rusting at the bottom of the gardens ! Lol

They don't last very long before they rot. The galv burns away on first use!
