Cheers, Now updated

Have had mixed experiences with Unbeatable Gadgets. I placed a larg-ish order for myself and some friends to save on postage and get some Xmas gifts and for weeks they said my order would be delivered in their advertised timeframe (2 weeks or 10 working days). Eventually the 10th working day came and all I received was a PayPal email stating the order had been refunded (despite being advised the day before that my order was booked in to be sent that day).

Customer service left a lot to be desired; nobody made any sort of apology and they said they were within their right to do as they had done and that stock miscounts happen. They couldn't understand why I had a problem with the fact it had taken them two weeks to realise there had been a stock miscount, and why I was unhappy that the day before I had been told my order was booked to be sent, yet it was the next day (expected day of delivery) before they bothered to refund (without explanation). They also could not understand why I was upset about the fact that the refund had not been explained and that I had needed to call them to find out what had gone wrong with the order. IIRC the gentleman I spoke with was Johnny.

Saying that, I am aware there have been bargains with these guys in the past and lots of people will have had success with them. There was an issue a year or so ago iirc where they sent out a batch of radios that arrived damaged and were found to contain mercury - I picked this up from MSE when I had the problems with my last order.

There is mixed feedback on other threads here on HUKD too, and after my experience I won't go near them again.

It is a reasonable price for this item, but just be aware...

Cheers,

iecuk

This company is a joke - twice I've ordered items from them and twice they claim they've been lost in the post - however citylink claim the items were never made available for collection - first one took me two months to get my money back 2nd time 2 weeks

I would avoid

See you got hit by the postage police as well! Great find!
