First deal i've posted so hope this does ok USUALLY £92!!!!
This would be ideal for anyone who wants to do a high end build and could easily handle crossfire of two graphics cards. 80% efficency and 850W...it's a beast. It's also modular so easier for cable management. Don't know a great deal about the brand but I gather they're fairly reputed....

This PSU gets some very positive reviews. Great price for people with beefy PC's.

i've got this, great bit of kit. only bad thing i can say about it is it has no instructions whatsoever, nor does it have any markings on the psu. for experienced system builders this probably isnt an issue, but for first timers (like me), a little daunting. also, no mounting screws, which i believe are included with most psu's.

the cables are really flexible and long, so easy to hide/route and keep the build tidy. not the quitest psu, but not the loudest by any means.

jonnyguru.com/mod…=93

Good Psu and that guy knows his stuff recommended but be aware it only has a 24 month warranty which isn't too impressive really when some have 5 years. He does state in the review that he's never heard of the capacitors which is a worry.

Excellant PSU for the price, especially as its modular.

NorthQ have been making their mark slowly but surely recently

This is a stonking deal, well spotted!

Ive got this psu and its a decent psu but unless you need this amount of watts its a bit pointless but as said it recives rave review and is very stable under full load but its not a real bargin as its on today only all of the time.

So your a corsair man what psu do you have and don't lie i'm willing to bet you don't have a corsair supply or its the 450watt model which you cant compare to this and what else gets me is if you knew anything you would know that they are not made by corsair but by some companies in the far east and badged up as corsair and if i wanted to spout useless **** i would say I'm a tagan or Enermax man as they are the best supply.

I have 2 very high spec machines and this psu is very good its as good as my 880w hiper which was way more money and i don't buy **** i put my homework in and this psu ticked all the boxes as for corsair supply to get one of this power that's modular would cost over double this and only provide the same power and be a question if it was as stable when fully loaded. Your a guy who knows nothing and goes with the masses and buys brand name stuff because you don't know enough to make a informed decision yourself.

What i want to know is what is it with people on here his comment added nothing of value to this thread he should keep his thoughts to himself if he like corsair good for him i like tight pants but i wouldn't post it here as its not relevant

Wow, I think you may have blown either a fuse or a capacitor; that was quite an outburst and it peaked at over a kilowatt.

Have you ever heard of punctuation? You only used a single full stop (except at the end) in one of your 3 paragraphs. Personally, you sound far worse than anyone saying they are a "xxx person".

I'm also a Corsair person, and yes they are not made by corsair, but they ARE made by a reputable OEM. And no, before you ask me and insult me as if I'm some poor guy, I don't have a
Oh, in terms of the OEM's who make the Corsair PSU's (CWT, Seasonic) it just so happens that one of them (CWT) makes an 880w PSU for Hiper... enthusiast.hardocp.com/art…A== (the Type-M, the Type R is made by another company, Andyson). So erm, you were saying something about people who bought from a brand that were made by companies in the far east?

Remember when buying a PSU, PSU's are generally at their most efficient if you get one that is close to your power requirements. This PSU is however 80+% rated, so it should get 80% at 20%, 50% & 100%. You might just get better efficient if you load it up at 85% vs only 50% etc...

The one problem I can see is that it doesn't state EPS12v compatibility despite appearing to have the right cable. Also, only a 2 year warranty (vs 5 years for...). In terms of price, you do however get a lot of bang for your buck here, and so heat added.

easy m8 chill lol

seems good for the money, the review with the capasitors seems a bit risky and maybe is reflected in price...

im also a "corsair man" if u really wanna brand me that as i have a 520w corsair psu. Mines been running 24/7 for nearly 3 years and never a fault from it.

If i was upgrading atm id probs go for this with my 520w as backup

you mean T&A man surely?

Computer Parts are going through the roof at the moment so this is a pretty good deal. If you built a mid range PC in December and tried to do the same build in March I think you would be looking at perhaps £100+ extra.

This PSU would have no problem powering a top rig and with regards to the "only 2 Year Warranty" again not really a problem as you will find with the ones offering the 5 Year Warranty that the remaining 4 years are back to base - which usually means you have to ship it to off to Holland/Germany or even the States.

Corsair man myself though this is a well respected brand ... so voted hot.

Thanks every1 who has voted hot so far. Should be available till mid day today. Got top 5 for the week in this section. I'm pleased, and I hope someone may have benifitted

What brand of coffee do you drink?

I suggest you change to Mellow Birds......

For the record I have built 3 high end SLI Quad Core systems in the last 18 months and for the first I decided to go for the Coolermaster M1000 because the boy I buy my components from gave me it at cost price as it was just out and I have used it in the other 2 systems as well as I have found it to be extremely stable and reliable.

Ok, its £130 and a lot of people would consider a 1KW PSU overkill but the one thing you simply cannot skimp on in a modern gaming build is a PSU. When I finally do get round to building that X58, DDR3, i7, 4890/295 system for myself later in the year it will yet again have an M1000 PSU powering it all.

For the price you can't go that far wrong.
2yr warranty might be an issue, but tbh no PSU I've had (even a cheap 700W no brand one) has lasted me a few years.

Scan do have this on their TO offers quite often, but the price is usually at least £10 more, sometimes even £25 more then its current offer price.

Hot !

Now how to order one and not let the mrs find out......

*** UPDATE ***

Scan have put it back on today's offer (Friday 13th).
Its now a whopping £1.15 cheaper then yesterday at £57.49

This offer will now expire at ~midday on Monday (someone might want to change the expiry on the offer accordingly)

Seems like someone has expired it even though the offer is still live.
