Looks like a really nice place to stay in the Devon area! Read the reviews in post 1 - fantastic.
* This kgbdeal includes two nights’ bed and breakfast for two at The George in June, July and August 2011, plus a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival

what & why

If Countryfile and Bill Oddie keep creeping into your thoughts there’s no need to feel alarmed. You don’t need to see a specialist - you need a countryside escape! With that in mind, our Agents have scoured our green spaces and come up with a gorgeous kgbdeal to tempt you today.

For just £89 you and a friend can enjoy a two nights’ stay at The George, in the lush landscapes of Hatherleigh, Devon. Enjoy bed and breakfast, a bottle of red or white wine on arrival and plenty of traditional finishing touches worth up to £236. That’s up to 62% off a luxury rural retreat!

about The George
The second you step inside The George you’ll leave the rat race behind. It’s a gorgeous country pub, complete with a thatched roof, that’s recently undergone a cool £2.5 million refurbishment. It fuses the best of both worlds: the character and charm of a country hideaway, and the slick attention to detail of a boutique hotel. Think glamorous en suites, four poster beds and luxury linens, and you certainly won’t be disappointed.

but don’t just take our word for it...
“Room was lovely, four-poster bed and a free standing bath. Very clean. Probably the best breakfast ever!!”
“The room was perfect, spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were just sumptuous.”

Good reviews, but not the most exciting part of Devon to stay in, a bit in the middle of nowhere. I suppose that is why the offer is on in peak season, not your normal holiday spot but you could get to other places from there.

If only it wasnt 5 hours away.

Heat added anyway.

Love Devon/Dorset but would nbeed to be at least a week to make it pay.

hot!

i have never been on KGB, never heard of them until this site and yet they somehow have my email and spam me with offers?

I live about 20 miles away and it is a beautiful part of the world. The least 'touristy' part of Devon but easily accessible from the A30, quiet and I think the smallest town in Devon.
The Pub burnt down some years ago and had to be completely rebuilt.

and if the area is covered by this ice cream company, you should get a hockings ice cream from those ice cream vans!! the best!

not available for bank holidays
