8GB for under £18, wow. Memory prices are amazing at the mo! Nice find.

If it's the same as Play's 4GB SD HC this will be a quality Toshiba card.

Can't believe this price!
I'm pretty sure I bought a play 4gb for the same price a month ago :P

me too.

If this is the same thickness as 4 gig card it is thicker than a standard SD card.
The 4 Gig card would not fit in my nokia phone but a standard SD card does.

More likely your nokia phone fails to meet the SDHC standard, in regards to dimensions of the slot.

the nokia is probably on MMC card thickness... SD cards are slightly thicker.

Are you sure you're talking about a standard sized card (like this one) and not a mini or micro?
Standard sized cards are hardly ever (never?) used in phones.
I bought an 8GB microSD from eBay the other day and that was a little tight to get in to the XDA Orbit holder but all OK in the end. I'll be wanting 16GB in six months....

Anyway, yes an excellent price for this card but I wonder how many old devices are upgradeable to SDHC and how many new devices are still being made with the relatively large SD card slots? Maybe demand for this format is falling.

Awesome deal hot smoky:thumbsup: given!!

Hot hot hot

Got the Play 4GB in panny FZ8 and its worked faultlessly

Does anyone know if this will fit the EEE PC, im assuming it does, just want some reassurance before I get it.

SDHC cards have SD Speed Class Ratings defined by the SD Association. The SD Speed Class Ratings specify the following minimum sustained write speed on to empty SDHC cards:
Class 2: 2 MB/s
Class 4: 4 MB/s
Class 6: 6 MB/s

There you go. I was looking for that as well. Wikipedia is your friend....

I put two 4 gb sdhc cards in my N800 last week and they work no problem. The 8gig will work as long as it is SDHC. Great price. Wish this had been available last week

Thanks for this, just got one for my EEE PC I have pre-ordered from Toys 'R' Us

It will work flawlessly but might work slowly, which can cause an annoying lag between pictures on a digital camera. I'd recommend a Sandisk Ultra II instead, but of course there may be other makes that are as fast.

wish play did something like amazon where if you buy within x days of purchase, u get refund on difference:x

Bought the 4Gb version for my eeepc and i get write errors when i try to copy anything more than a few meg to it - anyone else had any problems?

Hi.

Looks good if it's a Toshiba then! I'm looking for a specific one though. Apparently, it's a SD-HC008GT4. Does anyone know how to find out what one Play are selling?

4GB Card is selling at £9.99

does anyone know if the dell vostro 1000 supports sdhc cards?
and if so would they be usefull for the ready boost vista feature?

as that would be better than having a mem stick sticking out of the back.

cheers
