'Own' until you leave Apple.
Tempting... but saving my money for Mega Movie Week, two weeks from now. The above might even be cheaper then too.

Like you 'own' a DVD, until you leave the house? Even if you don't have an ATV, you can play Apple stuff on PCs, Samsung tellies and probably more brands too.

True. Apple have opened up their digital content somewhat recently. I've been using the Apple TV app on a Roku 4k stick.

A cheap way to access 4k iTunes movies without buying the far more expensive Apple TV 4k.
Oh and Man On Wire is bloody brilliant. Terrifying. But brilliant too.

.. only for as long as you pay the monthly subscription.

Close your account, then see what you still 'own'.

That's the point, you're paying for a service that lets you access content. Once you stop paying you lose that content. Therefore you don't own it.

So what, we know if a sub ends you lose the right, but this isn’t a subscription you are buying the film. What happens if a burglar relieves you of your physical, or your house burns down?

Apple+ is a subscription service that is very limited (Apple made shows and movies of which there are only a few right now) and has a monthly fee.

Apple TV is like any digital store. You buy the movies and then can watch them with no fee or subscription. HD movies are upgraded to 4K when available for free too.

You seem to be confusing the two. Buying these will have no monthly fee needed to continue to watch them. You can watch them through PC, Firestick, Roku, Samsung TV’s, Apple devices and soon LG TV’s.

Interestingly enough the BBFC have just signed off on a MMW20 advert, so it looks like it is going ahead as link has confirmed.
