Great price. Shame i have to go in school hols n get ripped off😔
Been domican republic before, beautiful place but beware very well known previously for food poisoning on a grand scale, do your research before. We experienced this first hand as well as half the hotel we stayed at and took thomas cook to court and was sucessful as there was repeated failures and signs as well as previous cases prior to our stay.

Don’t get me wrong this is not all hotels and the hotel we stayed at was a highly rated one.

Which hotel did you stay at
I've just booked a week in the Caribbean for next Feb and didn't go to Dominican Republic for the above reason. Just far too many stories of food poisoning, which is a shame.

Sure it was food not water?
We went to the sensorti and had a great time no issues with food, but didn’t drink or clean our teeth with their water!! And was healthy and had no issues unlike egypt!
We went there a couple of times along time ago to iberosrar costa dorada it was really nice
we went for our honeymoon over xmas and new year and didnt experience any problems it was 5 star hotel.
Looking for something like this in July any tips appreciated
Exact date Iv been looking at, see you there thanks very much 👌👌👌

100% sure it was food. Didn’t touch the tap water in anyway shape or form even for brushing teeth. Investigation proved myself and the other guests were food poisoned. You should have seen the queue on the plain for the toilets coming back. Seriously i am not exaggerating(fierce)

Big thanks for sharing mate, me and my GF were on the hunt for something like this and we have booked the Iberostar. To all, worth looking at the fine print, cheaper hotels have less all inclusive like restaurants or activities.

My parter had food poisoning for the whole two weeks in punta cana
I have been to Iberostar Bavaro and Royalton Bavaro
No problem at all
Excellent hotel, went in 1998
showing £575 for me? or £643 for iberostar

Aye who knows! free drinks so... Have you seen the fine print, seems we are eligible to some free $$$ during our stay to redeem? Do you reckon that will be honoured?

Yeah, seen that... but I'm always bit sceptical about these things, will see
My daughter is going to the Dominican Republic with her boyfriend in July. She is worried about any hurricanes or tropical storms beginning just before she goes and has asked me to look into travel insurance for her regarding this. She has booked through Tui but I thought that if any hurricanes or tropical storms did happen before they were due to fly, Tui would cover her for this, but she says that a member of staff at Tui said that they would not offer cover for this. Can somebody please tell me some insurers that would cover for this type of event (if her flight/holiday was cancelled because of this) - my daughter has had a quick look and says that it is classed as a natural disaster/event and that insurance cover is not offered? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

9 times and you rate the RIU Bachata???? think you need to try a 5 star in the south side of the island. RIU Bachata is the WORST RIU in the Dominican. That’s is why TUI are pulling out of this hotel this year, complaint after complaint. Bad food and drink, multiple cases of sickness and diarrhoea yet TUI are in denial of all these events occurring.
Worst RIU I have ever been to and although it’s not good news for the local people who work at the place, it is not a place a would ever return, even as a freebie
Brilliant deal. Up to £749 now
Come on people! We only know the reason people will go......for the NUTELLA KRISPY KREME RING DOGHNUTS!!! LOL
I went a year back with no food poisioning neither did my wife.
We were careful not to drink the tap water . Brushed our teeth with bottled water
Avoided too much ice in drinks
And also didnt have much fresh salad just in case it had been washed in tap water.
Food was fine following those rules.
But i appreciate resorts and food standards may alter
Somebody expire please
