I bought this thing on Friday after trying to find an Insignia INS003 800x800 on short notice for a bathroom refit, the thing is bloody awesome for the price, it wasn't the easiest diy project but it's amazing for the price. It has a waterfall head from above with a hand shower too, a shelf, a mirror, body jets and a steam generator, and a radio and lights, and I just connected the phono out on the Cd player to an aux cable so I can plug in my phone for tunes instead of the radio. Very impressed.

Use MARCH20 as the code at the checkout for the extra 20% off the £699 list price.

But surely bending over is going to be awkward in a shower of that size?
Just be aware these are cheap Chinese boxes, lots of bling up front but not proper steam generators etc etc. Be aware just about every bathroom distributor in the UK have had a version of these, but don't now, might be a clue. One of the largest bathroom manufacturer/ distributor stopped bringing their range of these in a while ago. OK and cheap if your selling and moving. Might find many plumbers will be reluctant.
can imagine buck rogers having a shower in one of these

Yeah, I managed to pick it up at the trade counter in my volvo v50 estate and fit it within a weekend

it's a stand alone unit so can easily be moved around for maintenance.

You build it in the middle of the room, then move it into the corner. you can pull it back out to maintain it, you seal the shower joints with silicone so all the water is only inside, no need to seal the base.

Would it fit in a box room for an ensuite?

Yep, we have a 800 x 800 and regret not getting bigger . Still if this size is good for you it's a good deal . Voted hot .
Looks great. Does it have any extractor fan for the steam?

when it's assembled it's a complete unit. then it can be moved around to access the rear for maintenance.

At this price just expect it all to start falling to pieces after a few months.

Looks good, but can you imagine when things go wrong and having to move it to maintain, I always think if you're going to get things like this, they're best built in, costs a heck of a lot more granted, but in the long run they'll be a lot less hassle.

Heat for the price though if people want a stand alone shower
tbh I've had mine a few years now. don't use it heavily as I have another shower. spare parts are available cheaply and can easily be replaced by any diyer.
I have had a shower cabin from this company, it was ‘Aqualine™ Hydromassage Shower Cabin with 6 Body Jets’, sounds impressive, but the reality was quite different, it was also a 900mm quadrant enclosure, the 6 body-jets were largely decorative, it leaked, even though it said that it wouldn’t, looking back, customer reviews are a bit fishy, I took it out within a year, what a waste of money! I wouldn’t buy from this company again.
I guess if it's what your after then heat.... however just moved into a new house with an insignia unit. Kept noticing a smell like damp cloth no matter how much we cleaned it. Pulled out and there's dust and black mould along the back of the tray area behind the unit. Looks like the seals have gone and previous owners hadn't realised so make sure your seals are tight around the base. It is vile and a health issue with mould spores. We can't get it cleaned even when we pull out the unit. It is tricky. Might just be ill building on previous owner part. Also they're quite expensive and can be noisy to run if you need a pump, etc for pressure and buzz if you don't turn them off at night. They are not for those who feel a bit awkward in tight spaces or for taller folk either. I'm only just over 5 ft and find it annoying. I absolutely hate the thing although the kids liked the initial novelty of it. So be careful!

Just keep doors open
We used to have a 900mm shower quadrant, no issues bending over or moving about, washing hair for example - no problems hitting your elbows on the glass etc.
Saw something like this in The Fly movie.

Yeah, especially the drainage
Had a shower unit like this before, so many gadgets and gizmos in it and was a nightmare to keep clean, we have very hard water and it looked awful after the first shower, I never had a shower without having to clean the damn thing while I was in it. Chroming on it was like tin foil, the jets got scummed up and mold grew in the silicone. Vile.

Whereas I can imagine Colonel Wilma Deering having a shower in one of these...
I have one of these and they are brilliant, 4 years on still have it good as new

Give it 10 years and these will be a big selling point in Blackpool
chinese junk and im not kidding. its just a novelty item and the equipment fitted in these are very low quality
Any recommendations for a quality version of this type of thing?
Crap product. Pay more for a quality product. This lasted just over 2 years and everything started breaking. I've had it taken out and an enclosure fitted with a separate shower.

Your back end must be oversized! A 900 x 900 isn’t small, 800 x 800 is

it's just a flexible pipe
nazmanchester19 m ago

it's just a flexible pipe

Do you own one of those?

I have something very similar (looks to use the same base and frame)

It is straight chinese crap

Ours drainage is plumbed solid I don’t imagine adding flexible pipes into equation

Hoping to replace with real shower soon, we bought spare tiles to close up the gaps
@Nick_Dewitt I would plug a chrome audio into the aux instead for better control
excellent!! cheers!!
@deanpaulwalker when are you buying me this?
Probably come chipped, scratched dented and faulty from Better Bathrooms. Not one item in our suite I fitted was okay. Chipped bath, wavy sink, faulty toilet seat and leaky irritating dripping flush (no not the overflow). Crap shop. Never buying anything there again.
Back to shop 3 times to exchange

its only fat people that struggle
DO NOT BUY THIS.

The pipes (and there are a ton at the back) or joints spring leaks meaning you have to remove all the silicone seals along the side and bottom, move the whole shower out and replace the pipes.

You can't get steel braided pipes that fit so you have to find a plastic or rubber pipe to replace them.

I've had this for just over a year in which I've had to go through replacing pipes twice already. One sprung a leak on a bend, another sprung a leak at a joint. They are very poorly made.

Utter crap. Have stopped using mine and just use the shower in the bath instead.
