Best price it's ever been on camel, can't even buy a battery for this price of this UPS.

Salicru SPS ONE 900 Series Line-Interactive Uninterruptible Power Supply Unit, 900VA/480W

The 'best value' option for home and professional computing environments

Salicru’s SPS ONE series is an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system featuring Line-interactive technology, which provides the best protection solution for equipment and information within home and professional (small businesses, offices, shops, etc.) computing environments.

Its use of AVR Boost & Buck technology, which enables permanent stabilisation of power supply voltage, provides the dual benefit of ensuring better care of connected loads and reducing use of the UPS’s batteries. And, in the event of an input power outage, it provides battery power to keep the equipment operating. To complete the security offered, it also features protection against the possibility of over voltages occurring in the data line.

Also notable is the built-in communication functionality between the UPS and the computer system via the USB port (communication cable included) and the downloadable monitoring software, which is compatible with Windows, Linux, Unix and Mac.

The SPS ONE series is available in 500, 700, 900, 1100, 1500 and 2000 VA power ratings.

Crikey that's a brilliant price
Keep a string of lights tucked away nearby and if the power goes off - back up is beside you, fully charged and ready to light.
Thanks bought for my servers
hot
£48.90 now
Very tempting
What's the run time on these ?
Ordered 2 as replacements for my donkeys years old items. Used to have powercuts almost daily, living out in the sticks, the present ones have saved many hours of wasted effort, but now last barely a couple of minutes when the power goes out.

Depends on how much load you put on it!

Is there an easy way to calculate it if you know wattage?
I was tempted but then remembered of I'm not gaming I'm on my laptop.
Cheaper at ebuyer £47.99

Ok missed that, but point being its only a pound or so cheaper... it's not an amazing price as some are suggesting here.

I’ve ordered one and taken a punt on an 1100VA that was in the warehouse for £35. Good condition so might be well abused, Spin the wheel, where it lands no body knows.

Whether you know Wattage or not, no need to calculate if you can measure... It's an investment... You definitely need a UPS if you've lost work due to power cuts... Must own one to know for sure..!

(Will absolutely not help with gaming)

I work from home using a laptop, with its own UPS built in if you like. However my intention is to have my network always up. Additionally it lets me eek a bit more out the laptop if needed.

I agree that a UPS can be invaluable for some, though not for everyone.
Tempted to keep the BT router up and shut my server down on power loss, With all the smart gear in the house they fire up before the router does and so I end up re-booting everything after the router comes to life.

^zackly...

The day I realised phone lines and power lines are two different things was probably the day I bought a UPS. I felt ever so clever during power cuts from then on!

Do that.

UPSes must be an awful lot cleverer these days... I wonder if UPS software can help by powering up individual sockets in a predefined sequence?
Keeping the router online would keep the ip addresses as was so when the house comes back online the smart gear will get issued it's own address back.
The BT HH6 drops the internal network if the incoming internet drops which is a pain.
Normal stuff in the house I've give static ip's to and each room have a range of 10 so I can relate to where an issue is.
This is small fry to ours at work we can keep over a 1000 user working for 10 minutes till the gen set takes over. that 20 seconds is a long time to see the lights come back on whilst the set starts up.
Mine arrived today, faulty. Won't charge/hold charge properly. Amazon sending a replacement.
