907g Bacon misshapes £1.49 @ Home Bargains

Found 4th Jul 2015
Nearly a kilogram of bacon misshapes, smoked and unsmoked mixed, by the look of it for £1.49. Great for summer quiches, paellas etc.

Found in Homebargains in Dumfries but I assume it'll be nationwide where there is a fresh food section.

youre right its smaller pack 670 g for £1.15 , still good value

Got this before and it pretty much had 5 bacon chops in it, grilled them on their own and had no need to chop them up.

The pack I bought was all small rashers was great.

What's bacon mis-shapes? I have images of a deformed pig oO

Like a box of broken biscuits. Usually you will get fully formed biscuits and likely you will get mostly bacon slices with these packs too. Sometimes you don't and get exactly what it says on the box/pack. Broken biscuits or mis-shaped bacon.

It was probably too old and had started to go off at the edges, so they chop those bits off and add some water to stop it drying out any further.

I'm not joking.

They looked to be pretty much whole rashers to me. Mostly unsmoked, but about 20% smoked judging from the colour. I don't eat meat so will leave the taste test to my parents.
