10 Year Screen Burn Warranty

Experience pure colour in a whole new light with Samsung's Q6. Samsung's QLED screens are at the cutting edge of home visual entertainment, with a picture quality that will take your breath away. QLED, a refinement of their Quantum Dot technology, delivers jaw-dropping colour and a flawlessly realistic HDR picture. Elegant, minimalist 360 design fits seamlessly into your home with One Remote to control all of your compatible devices. Access a world of online entertainment via Samsung's Smart Hub, utilise its voice interaction, and the QLED screen can blend into your living space with Ambient Mode.* Please note that the Q6 has different features to other TVs in the Samsung QLED range.

Q Colour
Utilising ground-breaking quantum dot technology, QLED takes light and turns it into breath-taking colour. 100% colour volume is achieved (DCI-P3 standard measure), for a staggeringly realistic picture of rich, authentic colour of over a billion hues.

Q Contrast
Enjoy stunningly bold contrast, night and day. With extremely low light reflectivity, this QLED TV delivers impeccable contrast in a wide variety of lighting environments, so whether you're watching in a darkened room or bright light, it's always a perfect picture.

Q HDR 1000 powered by HDR 10+
Samsung are one of the forerunners of contrast and colour-boosting High Dynamic Range (HDR). As members of the UHD Alliance, they've delivered top-shelf HDR to deepen your view and show shades previously unseen in home entertainment. Expanding light, dark and every colour in between to extraordinary new levels, this model's picture gets closer to real life. Driven by their Q Engine, Samsung's HDR 1000 gives a glorious glow that will knock your socks off. The supreme brightness levels of QLED technology enables you to experience the full potential of the latest HDR standards.

4K Ultra High Definition
To respond to screens getting bigger, brands have packed their screens with more pixels. This 55” screen has four times the number of pixels than 1080p Full HD TVs, delivering stunning realism, natural motion and incredible detail. And UHD upscaling increases the clarity of non-4K content.

Features:

Wide Viewing Angle: makes every seat in the room a great seat with impressively wide angles of view.

Supreme Motion: delivering fast movement with sharp detail and no blur; superb for making exciting high octane action movies or live sports even more enthralling.

Ambient Mode: removing the big black screen, the QLED can blend into the room with decorative and customisable content.*

One Remote Control: control all of your compatible devices and content for seamless multitaskin

Nice price, just tried to call and they wouldn't do for that price. How's did you manage for that price?

Much appreciated
I just told them about the offer on eBay with 5 year warranty and code available for all.. which brings it to £909. They then gave £10 extra off. Try again. The guy I spoke to had done a match earlier today so was aware of it

Yes it’s part of their price match, they give an extra £10 off anything up to the value of £1000. I would def call again. And give the the code which is available on the main link.

Or give your business to the company offering the deal ,not others retailers who are not offering but piggy back other retailers deals.
Is this a good TV? Have read great and not so great reviews...but you get that with most TVs.

Not sure if I should hold off for QLED to drop further in price or not
Perhaps a silly question but can these be wall mounted? Thanks

It's QLED but the bottom point of QLED. If you want the latest QLED with all the bells & whistles expect to pay upwards of £1500.
For a QLED it's a decent price

Got a 55" one of these last month and its mega, for the price its really good and good for gaming also however if you have a window behind you it will reflect the whole window as there's basically no anti reflection coating on the screen.

Proper review for you here so you can see and you can use the compare tool to see if its worth the extra for the Q7/8/9 etc;

Viewing angles aren't bad, sat straight on is best etc but a slight or mid angle doesnt change much at all, if your trying to look at the image from a very hard angle it isn't ideal but for normal viewing angles its spot on.

For the reflection, best way i could say to test it is put a mirror where it is and see what reflects at the angles you want to view it at, if you can see the window in the mirror then it will be a problem (I had a window right in front of my TV so I put up black out curtains and it solved the issue).
I'm really stuck between this and the LG OLED B8PLA 55"... I've made the order with RS for this TV but still unsure as the oled was a similar price in store... what to do ??

Stick with this. 65 inch is where TV gets immersive. After you watch a 65 inch TV , 55 inches just seems to small , no matter how good the image is
4K tellys are pointless... you need to sit 1.5x it’s height away from the screen to see any improvement over HDR... save yourself a fortune and drink more gin! 🥂

in a ideal world I would probably prefer the 65" B8 OLED but my budget doesn't take me that far.. I will sleep on it but as you say, a 65" will be great on the wall. Whatever I choose will be a big upgrade from my 55" 1080p Samsung.

If you are upgrading from a Sammy 55 1080 , this will be a big leap.
Just don't go and look at the b8 & you will never be the wiser

I should add that I had purchased this one on a impulse buy at a v cheap price of £260 - I was planning to use this as a interim untill the 65" oleds fall in price - I cant imagine it will be great tho

B8 is one of the best TVs you can buy within a reasonable cost obviously.
The Philips 7000 series is well regarded. It has the p5 sensor which is a very powerful processor, normally found on the Philips OLED range.
Currently Philips offer for £809 which is a superb price.
Also got the ambilight function which is a snazzy addition.

Is this good for the battle of winterfel?
My mate told me that this amazing TV like all the other mid tier TVs do not offer true HDR, it is apparently fake, not even 1000 nits. Well, I dont have any idea what all of this means but TV looks okey dokey to me.

It depends if you are Team Stark or Lannister.
Question for the techie experts (or anyone)

What are the differences between this Samsung (size and price aside) to the LG OLED55B8SLC OLED ?

Thank you in advance

Get the oled you won't regret it. Viewing angles on Samsung are terrible you have to sit straight on or the colours look washed out, No such issue with the oled and the picture is amazing proper ink blacks and they are super thin it's a pane of glass with a bulge for the electronic. The OS is regarded as the best of any tv, I had a Samsung from RS and the build quality was bad so I returned it I then went in store to choose the replacement and when I saw the oled there was no competition. I have the B6 which is a couple of years old but I'm buying the 65 inch E8 later today I would never go back to a normal tv. This Samsung is not a top of the range tv the price is very good for a 65 but you get what you pay for to get a good Samsung you will be spending twice as much the only upside to the Samsung is the HDR brightness it's much higher than the oleds but you can't really compare as the oled is totally different tech the oled is also dolby vision which this isn't and it also has dolby atmos sound, obviously thats if you don't have a soundbar or a av setup and use the TV speakers either way it's nice to have.

If your in any doubt read the reviews for the B8 and you will be sold.

Before anyone starts stamping there feet I'm not having a go at this TV it's a great buy it's just not in the same class as the LG oleds.
