First post, I know it's expensive, but when compared to other similar spec Haswell ultrabooks, this seems like a good deal, especially considering 8gb ram and 256 SSD.

(3000ea and 3010ea seem the same, even on HP site)

This is £949 !

This is £949 !

£150 less than JL and PC World
I was only just pointing out the price - as it wasn't in your first post - As you say, it is cheaper than at JL/PC World and Amazon.
Just ordered 3 i need to waste some money because taxman have it otherwise
Can anyone let me know any better deals before I go for one of these pls?
13" for 1k pounds? Dont be silly!
Why so cold? I cannot find a better like for like deal out there. This machine is slimmer than a MBAir, and a lot cheaper, plus cheaper than like for like Win8 machines. I get the feeling voters are voting on personal preference rather than if this is actually a deal where potential buyers can save some money if they were buying this type of laptop.
Looks like a reasonable deal to me... not fond of Very or Woolworths myself but that is just an opinion. It is still cheaper than the cheapest I could find it by £30.

It looks like a rather competent machine too.

Yeah why so cold? Been looking for this laptop and it was £1100 everywhere else until today (it's down to £999 on PC World from this morning). This is still £50 less so seems like a good deal to me.

Sure it's a lot for a laptop, but ultrabooks are always a premium over their fatter, slower 13-15" cousins. Sure you can get a 15" machine for half the price, but this has an SSD making it much faster, and will weigh half what that 15" monster does. If you just want to use your laptop at home it'd be silly (SSD aside), but if you travel with it then it's well worth the premium.
Promo code 3QHKJ gives 10% off as well taking it down to just £858. Tempted to pull the wallet out, reading some scare stories about Woolies/Very. Usually I ignore such comments, there's always a few complaints with any service, but would like to hear some positives first.
Great, was waiting for some feedback about Woolworths and today the discount code isn't working. :-(
Hi just checked, discount code was for "credit accounts" I think, (39% APR!). Mine has been delivered, very happy so far!
No, I think it was a general discount code. It was working for me without signing up for any crazy credit scheme. Just today it isn't working, so I guess it was time limited. Glad you are enjoying your laptop, shame it looks like I won't be joining you for a while. £850 is a lot as it is, can't justify paying another £100.
Thx feedtheshark. Stupidly I didn't even try the code as the small print said it excluded "audio, gaming, computers and tablets". Maybe I should have tried :-(
Yeah, it did work. I had it down to £858; was on the page to fill in my credit details and decided to wait for response here. Then last night decided to go for it (it was 12:30 in the morning) and the code no longer worked! So they must have switched it off at the end of day.

If I hadn't seen the offer at £858 I'd just get it at £950*, but now I know it was there I cannot pay the extra.

* Actually I'd probably get it at PC World for £999 because I go pick it up now and would have somewhere to return it to if there was a problem.
Anybody know of any Very voucher codes? Googled it to no avail. I want this machine but I dont quite wana play that much!
Hi Mike,

It's £949 at PC World now, I'd suggest getting it there. Can't see any vouchers there either mind you. Very has a questionable rep and it's much nicer to get it from a shop and know you can take it in if something goes wrong (well I think so anyway). Here's the PC World link

Had mine for a couple of weeks now, tis a lovely machine, best laptop I've ever had or used.
