Ordered straight away, thanks OP. Always wanted a set like this but got too many pieces here and there, but at this price I think I can throw away the other incomplete pieces now.

One of the sellers is doing it for 1p cheaper lol at £28.48

Look at the recent reviews, they seem generally poor. I notice that very sell this as rolson. Rolson seem to source some very poor stuff. Don't get me wrong, I have some rolson items which are OK but I would be cautious.

written on the bits on my set, it says Chrome Vanadium, so looks like it's the same one, I checked out the reviews too, first page was bad, but they got better the further I went in, kinda peeved that I paid £89 lol

A bargain if it is the same set. Some of the reviews suggest it might not be though

item is not what is shown in photo, poor quailty....box hardly shuts due to deformation, very cheaply made item. '' you get what you pay for ''

the rachets broke within 2 days i was expecting them to last a little bit longer to be honest but i used them twice now there broke kit is not as shown in picture either

Could be a cheap copy, typical of some amazon marketplace sellers. Mixed reviews may depend upon seller. A bargain if they are the same

I just reckon at this price, you can't really go wrong, Mechanic probably wouldn't use this, but for the average person who tinkers, I think this will do nicely.

Seriously cold
These are all market place seller tat..
Amazon are not selling this...All the sellers on the Amazon page are marketplace sellers, they are no different as if you had gone to a local flea market and bought these, the quality will be atrocious!

Leave well alone.

I think you would be better off buying a halfords "pro" set, even if it is smaller:

halfords.com/mot…3-8

Or double your outlay:

halfords.com/mot…set

Depends how much you value your knuckles.

I have virtually no doubt that the 2 sets are the same. Just shows the mark-up at very. Rolson are just a company that prints its name on anything that suits. As I said before be cautious. To make up the 96 pieces there seem to be loads of screwdriver bits included.

worthinger

Couldn't agree more halfords sets are in a different league to this.
These cheap sets are not value for money. If its cheap its cheap for a reason the reason being they are utter rubbish.

Well you can if the ratchet breaks straight away and the sockets snap as soon as you try to use them, which they will!

cheap rubbish, I bought one as a spare for trackdays and everything broke the first time it was used, best avoided

You get what you pay for! Rubbish.

I bought this exact set about 10 years ago @ £50. I since then opened a garage, I still have these and the only thing that failed was the bigger ratchet. I also have 3 sets of halfords pro ones.

these are my fav and so much so I have just bought this set.

thank you very much op

We should remember that the 'same' sockets can be made from differing qualities of steel and that cheap sets are often trying to copy a very good original.

wow, the one they sent me was in a green case and doesnt look anything on the picture and VERY cheap sockets. needless to say it will be going back
