£6.79 for 7 games, can't wait to see their face at checkout.
Search for avanquest, there's a few kid's games at the same price.
Cheers Jeepers Creepers.

Gah, I wish we had a PC world in crewe. Still, ordered 3 copies of company of heroes for multiplayer with brother and dad (here's hoping it's 3 player lol)
Hot!!
Oh, also, 3% quidco (not much but every little helps). Includes collect from store orders.

CURRYS have these games listed at £9.99, yet if you price match it should be 7p!

I would have thought they would be the same price, seeing as they're the same company

lmfao - that's worth trying if only for the look on their face.
7p for a game, that's a reduction of 99.3% - finally something that warrants the 'Clearance Sale' banners that have been up in the Warrington PC World store for...... well, as long as the store has been open I think! :-D

Brilliant deal.

I may have to get some for my boyfriend. :-D

Don`t think they do part exchange! :w00t:

I've reserved Company of Heroes and Splinter Cell Double Agent at my local PC World for £1.97, but I like the idea of making Currys price match. It would be pretty amusing to get them both for 14p and Currys is right beside PC World anyway. I'll give it a go and let you know what happens.

Big loves for Company of Heroes and Plants Vs Zombies

COH is brilliant. However when it was first released it was so sluggish and unplayable even on high end GRFX cards. However they have sorted that out now with a few big patches and [email protected] started playing it again recently. A Bargain at this price! HOT

Just got 3 games for under £3..Bargain . Rep And heat added

If you do try and get Curry's to price match, you're going to need to do some convincing to be successful.

The SKU for Plant Vs Zombies in both stores is 151414.
If you get PC World to stock check this SKU, the stock in both PCW & Curry's will come up at 97p.
If you get Curry's to stock check this SKU, the stock in both PCW & Curry's will come up at £9.99!

The Curry's system isn't aware that it is now a clearance item. (I've never known the 2 systems to be out of sync..... but it appears they are atm!)

So, unless you get a Curry's staff member to walk across to the PCW store & check the price themselves, they won't believe you that the prices are different.

I suggest one of 2 routes:

1) Buy a sealed copy at PC World for 97p
Goto Curry's, and stick the receipt in their face. They should 110% price-match it. Though they'll probably query why you want to buy a 2nd copy!
Then, return the copy you bought from PC World - as it's sealed, they shouldn't have any problem with giving a refund.

2) Make a reservation on the PC World website, and print off the res. number, item name & price.
Goto Curry's & stick the reservation ticket in their face. They might 110% price-match it

Good luck! (I failed)

p.s.

Plants Vs Zombies is a perfect example why the PEGI rating system is absolute garbage.
They've rated it a 12!?!?!?! due to [VIOLENCE]

Got my PvZ game today for 97p. Excellent value. The original sticker price was £9.99.

Got my games for 97p each also got one free as was buy 2 get 1 free. Had a look on again and found some more for 47p also buy 2 get 1 free. I think more were in the deal but just not labeled. Came away with a large purple bag with lots of hours of fun and spent no more then £10. Thanks Laura @ PCW Kirkcaldy.

Anyone??!!

Great deal, picked some up today - did try and price match but the Currys right next door has no games stock. PC World also gave me a £10 off £100 spend voucher - PM me if it's any use to someone, it expires in February.

No luck for me in Currys either. I think I took the wrong approach though. I showed them the reservation printout from the PC World website and they refused to price match because this was an online deal rather than one in store.

On the other occasions that I've price matched in PC World / Currys, I've had to argue hard to get them to do it, but in this case I just couldn't be bothered and I thought their excuse sounded right anyway. So I just went next door and picked up the two that I'd reserved (Company of Heroes and Splinter Cell Double Agent) for £1.94, which is a ridiculous price in it's own right.

However, have I misunderstood the PC World deal? If I got them to just scan any of the games in question, would they come up at 97p without having reserved them at this price?

I went to my local PC World today and the only 97p games on display were Immortal Cities Children of the Nile and Deus Ex Invisible War. They also had a small selection of £1.97 games. Back at home I looked at the website and neither of those 97p games are listed but they do list about half of the games mentioned previously in this thread. So I'm going back tomorrow to see if they'll let me pick up those games I just reserved.

So I recon you need to do both, reserve those games that the website will let you but when you go to collect also look instore for any bargains that don't appear on the website.

Hot hot hot! Just drove up to Watford PC World and picked up company of heroes and splinter cell, for £1.94 lol

exactly, that's what I did. well worth a trip out. as there's plenty of bargins to be had. even if a game mensioned here has a price on it - go and question it as it's prob reduced...

From what I gathered it looked like all the clearence £9.99 games were reduced to 97p and the £4.99 games were 47p.
but what was labeled on the shelf didn't match what was on the system.. :?

Ha ha - picked up Plants v Zombies on the way home from work and gave it to my ten year old lad who looked at the box with a "What's this rubbish ?" look on his face.

Four hours later I had to drag him kicking and screaming to bed - "Just one more level !"

He woke up this morning and went straight on it again and had to be dragged off it to go to school.

Great bargain !

oh also please be aware that the reserving the items means NOTHING...the idiots dont take them off the shop floor....i got there jsut 1 min before someone else who hadnt reserved any, so i was lucky...would have been fuming...what the f*** is the point in reserving something if they dont

Boo - reserved plants v zombies, but they didn't have it in stock. System said there was meant to be two available...I'd checked shelves before going to desk and didn't see it.

Just went to currys and price matched! What a pain tho, he told me it was an online deal so I said balls I reserved it instore to collect! Asked to speak to manager showed him my iPhone reservation and they honored it. Didn't get 10% difference tho! Didn't realise till I left haha.

Don't be afraid to kick up a fuss. Consumer power.

The whole point of price matching was to get the 110% difference!

No stock in my local PC World, closest was a 30min+ drive away so im happy!

I buy most of my games on steam as it saves me having to faff around with cd's.

Can you buy these and install to hard drive or even better use the license key to install to steam?

Company of Heroes / Splinter Cell keys weren't recognised by Steam, Plants vs Zombies didn't have a key I think, just the disc.
I agree, I like getting games on my Steam library, but there are good / bad points to both...
