£99 for 12months Now TV Entertainment and Movies (Black Friday offer)

57
Found 17th Nov
For existing users, 12 months both entertainment and movies for £99. Seemed like a good deal as on average I've been paying £5 a month for entertainment when boxes on deals which leaves the movies at £3.25 which seems ok as last deal I got as £4.99 a month for movies, and saves the hassle of looking out for deals on boxes for a year.

Black Friday deal I noticed when logging on to see how long I had left on my passes.

Only issue I had was I had a month to go on an Entertainment pass which as it was from a box purchase was considered an 'offer' so couldn't go through, but managed on livechat to cancel and got a month code to add on at the end of this offer.

Thanks to greencode for spotting more offers (Although looks like these are for NEW customers only):

Entertainment for £45
Movies for £55
Kids £15
Sports £199

I find too many of the films are either very old, or just repeats... probably works out cheaper to just get 1 month passes and use them when something good comes out or when kids are off school etc.

Netflix's content has dropped away in favour of their own productions nowadays, NOWTV is almost entirely premium Hollywood/HBO stuff.Amazon don't even try nowadays, but at least it costs basically nothing.

I think you've nailed it with this comment. I got Netflix originally thinking it'd be great for films. It isn't, but their own content along with a decent selection of US series make it worthwhile. Don't remember when I last watched any Amazon content, but have Prime anyway and I like the Fire TV box. I got Now TV for Sky Cinema with more up to date films as I'm with Virgin and the price to add movies was ridiculous. My life would be complete if Now TV just made a deal to get their app on Amazon devices. Now's business model that means people end up buying box after box just to get the passes can't be the best way of doing things. In 10 years time there'll probably be a plastic island the size of Malta circling the seas, made up entirely of old Now TV boxes.

Good deal, shame I have offers that take me to December, and then vouchers sat in my drawer for next year...

I find too many of the films are either very old, or just repeats... probably works out cheaper to just get 1 month passes and use them when something good comes out or when kids are off school etc.

That's an excellent deal, heat added

i never watch sport (football) so this would be ideal for me

Be careful and OP might want to change the link as goes straight onto account - thus I clicked it and has now added to my account even though I just wanted to check out the details!

I have entertainment pass running through to Feb so got

"Sorry – it looks like you're not eligible for this deal. This could be because you're already on an offer. For more info, see our Black Friday help article."

FAQ
Yes, you can, as long as you’re not already on an offer that has more than 30 days left to run. If you are, come back when you’re in the last 30 days of your offer, and you should then be able to grab the deal – as long as it’s before the closing date of 11.59pm on 30 November."

Apologies, changed now. I would have thought it would have asked to confirm first, I also had to enter payment pin before it went through.

They show pretty much every new film released. they show a new film every day (granted some are rubbish). blame hollywood if there arent enough films not sky.

Heated. Its becoming increasingly difficult to get the movies and entertainment passes at a good price, certainly without re registering

Think i'll grab this. Thanks.

I'm not eligable for the offer apperantly!

I agree, they advertise a new movie everyday but a lot are old ones re-released, I just switched now TV off because Netflix and Amazon are commissioning better and new programmes.

Unfortunately not, it's a one-off payment

There's also other offers in their Black Friday (even though it's not Black Friday yet) deals:

Entertainment for £45
Movies for £55
Kids £15
etc etc

Excellent, I hadn't seen these or might have taken a different offer - is it ok to add to my original post and I'll credit you?

The Sky Sports deal is good at £199 for 12 months.

Of course :-)

FYI: I've had Now TV Entertainment for 1yr "free" ie bundled as part of a Vodafone Red Entertainment mobile phone SIM only package that hardly cost me any more than that.... so might want to consider that option as get a year's data/talk/txt for little more.

Last year I paid £19/m for 12+4GB/unlimited mins/txts but got £10/m cashback so net £9/m * 12 = £108 net
Earlier this year I paid £19/m for 16GB/unlimited mins/txts but get £8.50/m cashback so net £10.50/m *12 = £120 net
There was a HUKD yesterday with a £100 Amazon voucher (rather than cashback) so similar deals still available.

My last 30 days doesn't start til 15th December. Amazing deal so heat added but I'm so gutted I have to miss this one

just spotted this on quidco - £20 cash back too for exsisting customers....

Just in time for me. Usually cancel sub declare I can't afford it and accept the deal they offer for 4 months . Didn't work recently as they said "sorry to see you go, but jog on scruff" or something along those lines.😁

If you enjoy out of sync 25fps un-pausable jittery footage.

T's & C's say new customers only when I'm logged in?

Good price for the kids but website says offer only available for new customers

Is that with or without Fibre Broadband?

Granted it'll only be 720p resolution but still should look and work okay right?

That’s my favourite kind of footage ;-) TBH, I’ve never had a problem with it.

Just spoken to Now TV the £55 offer is for new customers only the offer for existing customers offer is Movies & Entertainment together for £99 not really a Black Friday offer

hate that Now TV make you pay separately for movies and entertainment. This price basically just brings it in line with netflix pricing.

There is a fix for this ...don't watch the England games

Looks like the extras spotted by greencode might be for new customers only, the main offer of £99 is definitely for existing customers.

Have updated the post to clarify about the other offers.

Have updated the post about the other offers, I'd say this deal is still very good and a Black Friday offer, I haven't seen a NowTV price for movies and entertainment for this kind of price before, especially not lasting a whole year.

Was only offered £7.99 for movies, in the last 12 months a paid £5 for 1st 2 months, £3.99 a month for 4, then £1.99 for 2 then £3.99 for 4. Cancelled at £7.99 but expect due to xmas only a small discount, may try to cancel again before cut off date

Not full HD, it's 720P. The latest boxes are capable of 1080p though so probably the iplayer app can do full HD.

It's the bottom right option, "Existing customers enjoy 12 months of Entertainment and Sky Cinema for just £99!" - but nothing precise about the cashback amount.

For a second i thought this is superb deal as I read 99p. Obviously dissapointed

Just got off of live chat with Quidco and they said you will receive £15:

"Lewis: I can confirm that you will receive £15 if you meet all the terms and conditions"

Hope that helps.
