Popped to the Kidderminster branch of Sainsbury's and noticed the fuel price have fallen to some quite amazing prices.

Unleaded is just 99.9p per litre and Diesel is only £1.04 per litre, I'm assuming the prices will be similar throughout Sainsbury's stores nationwide.

This is price matching other Supermarket giants such as ASDA, Morrisons and Tesco who have all drastically dropped their fuel prices as there is plenty of stock, little demand.

Why do u predict that? More and more people are out on the roads and are going back to work. Equals more demand so they’ll put the prices up no??
Just filled up at tesco for the same price, and noticed some texaco branches have it at 99.9 too, which is for the 99/97 premium unleaded. Will head there next time!

Tbh i think these prices will be fairly common around the country so i guess this might not really be a deal if everywhere has it at the same or similar prices but i thought I'd share it reglardless to maybe help someone.

Are you sure it was 99 octane as that's normally only Tesco premium I thought the rest just sold 97 super unleaded? But I'll still check.

It may have been 97, just mainly looking at the supreme, which I thought was 99.

I filled up full over a month ago and it’s still half a tank. I’m eager to fill it to full again
Shame I can’t go far either

Petrol prices driven by oil prices. Oil prices driven by output + demand. Output currently exceeding demand by a long way. Texas oil literally having to pay to have its oil taken away.

It’s going to be a long time before oil prices rise again. I’d say several years before we return to normal levels. This will largely be dictated by the air travel sector which isn’t likely to return to normal for a longggggg time. Assuming we even get a vaccine that is! May never return to normal

Petrol prices lag oil prices by a few weeks, simply because refiners and distributors buy oil a few weeks before it reaches the pumps as petrol.

And fixed rate taxes are a big chunk of the 99p.

There will be a vaccine as science shall prevail . But the strain may mutate to a state where the vaccine is ineffective, so its a case of science keeping up.

As they say, the new normal will become normal. We shouldn’t live in the past!
Finally the prices of fuel is coming back to what it should be! 80-90p i

Do you have a high compression engine? If your car manufacturer says use 95 octane, 99 will make *zero* difference to performance.

It says use 95. But for the same price, i might aswell use 99 ot 97 if its the same price.
well why is it that prices are different then at sainsbury's petrol stations??
the one in my village is 1.08 yet the next village it is 1.04?
for some reason it is always more expensive here, prices should be the same across the board!!

The WHO said yesterday that we need to prepare ourselves for the possibility that a vaccine might never be developed. Sad times. As we've never managed to create a vaccine for other corona viruses, this sounds like a plausible prediction.

Last time I checked this was a forum for HOT Deals not about viruses and vaccines :/
Morison asda same price

My Texaco was 114.9 last time I checked, will be interesting to see if it's dropped the next time I go out. Just down the road from an Asda one too, so I've no idea who buys fuel there
Marsh Mills Plymouth only has diesel on certain pumps (clearly been popular) so you may have to queue a while. Whizzed straight through for unleaded hopefully got nectar points too!

It's still really about £7.50 saving for a full tank. I remember when it was under 40p a litre...

18 years and waiting for the SARS virus vaccine :/
Do they have multipacks?
Holding out till it gets to single digits
It's now about the price it should be, now the USA and OPEC have very little control/influence/over inflation of the market place.
What is so annoying is that I still have 3/4 of a tank full of diesel from two months ago!!
What a time to be alive....

unless you have something special as your drive you should only use 95 octane - you need to change the timing on the engine to benefit.
