The hotel groups managing director Guy Parsons said with more people expected to holiday in the UK this summer, its budget cream tea would be a big attraction.

Our seaside and tourism locations are booming and we know that these customers want to enjoy our cultures great traditions including the cream tea.

great deal, yumm x

Do you have to be booked in to stay or can you walk in off the street? :?

Good price so a hot deal (but probably not quite as tasty as at the little cottage I found on top of a Tor in Devon. You can't beat the real thing :-D )

Having a cream tea in a Travelodge defies the whole idea of cream tea IMHO! A cream tea is great in a cottage or a quaint tea shop in a small village in the middle of nowhere, using local, freshly sourced ingredients.

Good price though!

If you pull off the A1, for a quick break and a ciggy, you haven't got time to look for a cottage or tea shop.

Very civilised.. Awfully hot

Apparently you can just walk in off the street in most cases.

Check with the Travelodge of your choice before making a special journey, though.;-)
