Same deal as last year but Quidco are offering £2.50 cashback for a domain registration, making you a £1.51 proft for registering a .eu domain

To confirm, I've just done mine and quidco have tracked it as £2.50

(£1.51 profit applies to current Quidco Members that have already paid the annual £5 membership fee, TopCashBack will earn £1.01 as no annual fee applies)

Hmmm, still have to pay Quidco another £3.50 before you get any money from them! (because they keep the first £5 of your earnings as "membership fee")
Topcashback pays £2 straight to you (no fee whatsoever). The better deal, imo.

I take for granted that I'm a member, i've had £450 this year in cashback so the £5 came and went for the benefit it's given me. The support from Quidco, in my experience, is brilliant.

Either way, the deal from 1&1 + any cashback company puts you in profit either topcashback with zero fee, or if've you've already paid quidco it's a good deal.

Done.

I went for .eu, and then only noticed on order confirmation that....

The billing cycle for .uk domains is 2 years. For all other domains, the billing cycle is 1 year.
Domain registration fees are payable in advance.

So if you buy a .co.uk domain its going to cost you £8.99 for the second year.

Other than that, hot deal!

Thanks OP. I went via TCB to avoid admin fee £3.51 profit so far! (Got £2.50 bonus for joining at
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/cashbackbonus)

Scottib84 - looking at the prices it looks like £2.99 for second year.

Hi Scottib84,

Fortunately the .eu domain billing cycle is 1 year, then keep your eye out again next year for more cashback

co.uk names shouldn't be more than £6 for 2 years maximum (average £2.50 to £3 per year)

Hi i have just done this deal what can we actually use a domain name for im not very techinical

So is it the domain only (no space to host, etc) in this deal?

Just the domain, no space ... I think you'd be hard pushed to find any domain registrar that'll give you inclusive space for that price too

For a domain name, it's a very good deal, for using a cashback site which will result if you getting paid for having one, it's a winner.

Hiya,.

an example of what you could do is mask a freebie email address like [email protected]btconnect.com with [email protected]sjones.eu (you would use your domain control panel to forward the emails to your btconnect.com address but to the sender it'll look more professional.

In business, you could ramp up on buying different variations of your company name for brand protection, (more cash back - I think they need to be separate transactions)
