This is an Amazon Lightning Deal for a 9ct yellow gold bracelet, it is solid gold (i.e. not gold plated). Now for £99 for 5.7g of crafted solid gold which I think is a decent price?

There are still more than 2 hours to get that deal. the bracelet is 'ChainCo' branded and sold by Amazon.

£42.06 of scrap gold here, shame this couldn't be a little money maker

So doesn't worth it?... good to know anyway.. thanks

Not saying it's not worth it, like all jewellery you pay for them to make it. Never going to sell it at scrap price

Well, 2 grams of that 5.7 grams is solid gold

Its not solid golid!

If you have enough Bespoke / Amazon credits, you'll pay around the scrap value for a piece of jewellery. You could always scrap it when you get sick of it, or make a profit if gold prices increase.

Its like anything you buy?

you pay because they made it.

Or do you buy your car flat packed? or do you buy a cow to milk it yourself?

That's one option, but selling is another if you don't get emotionally and sentimentally attached to some metal. It's just an option.
I might be missing something, but why should jewellery or why must jewellery be passed on to your family? It's probably an old fashioned attitude, but not for myself.

I was going to buy it for my wife.. but glad to see the opinions here (as well as the many cold votes X) ).. after all I'm not a jewellery expert

Don't love it later.

And an excellent deal to be had if you bought with the Bespoke vouchers.
Something to look out for, as you could have bought some 'metal' at around the 'scrap' value.
No brainer if you want that item of jewellery.
I would like some gold coins at half their market price though.
