This isn't cheap.
9gb of data for £18 from an mvno? Not good value
Terrible value
No thanks.. Get double this with EE for same price
Giffgaff is too slow to use that much data in a month.
can people link me to a good network that supposedly gives more value than this and isn't on a 12 month contract? I can't find it.

Where's the link to 18GB data sim that's not on a contract? shop.ee.co.uk/sim…nes I'm seeing 4GB for £15 or 5GB for £25.
I love giff gaff. I don't get a signal with ee. Voted hot from me
I'm with Giffgaff but there data speeds are real slow during the day.
The data is to slow
Good coverage. Just ordered lets see
GIFFGAFF = O2 network, 4G is really poor!
o2 is only network that works where I live so hot.
I love it when people come on n make stuff up, "I can get 10 times this for a third of the price" Lol

Perhaps, but having used GG for many months; I found their data/internet to be so slow to the point of being unusable. For eg: stop somewhere and want to have a quick look at google maps? No way - wait, wait, wait and then give up whilst the circle of death kept going around infinitely. Switched to EE/3 and using the same phones - no issues at all. Both me/partner changed from GG to EE and 3 in the end. The lowish prices and monthly contract were not worth the almost useless data allowance for us.

On a separate note, call quality was fine.

that's fine and I agree using GG isn't that fast but I'm not a heavy user so it doesn't bother me much living in a city but the point is if you have a counter deal then link it, cause this is a good deal.

There are loads. Just search for sim only in the search bar. Infact, I have just got the three deal for 30gb/unlimited mins and texts for 10pm (link via HUKD).

But if you want a monthly contract, then even three's bog standard offer is 12GB, unlimited mins/texts for 18pm. If you like it after a month and change to a 12 month contract, then it drops to 14pm. So yes, there are many better deals than this, you just need to look around on this website to find them. Unless you are in an area that only GG works in.

I swapped from giffgaff to BT and it's the worst thing I ever did. Giffgaff has the same speed as O2 and dispite what people say (or think) they do not slow the speed down compared to O2. I'm waiting for my 12 month contract with BT to end so I can switch back to giffgaff.

All depends on many many different factors.....

9gb of data for £18 from an mvno? Not good value

It's classified as PAYG not pay monthly.

Also the GoodyBags are only valid for 30 day rolling contracts, so you're not tied into a 12 month contract.

Example on EE:

3GB data on a SIM-Only 12 month contract is £19.99
2GB data on a SIM-Only 30 day contract is £20.99
5GB data on a PAYG plan is £15

Tesco Mobile on a 30 day rolling contract is £18 for 4Gb or £23 for 6Gb - also on the O2 network like GiffGaff

So 9GB of data on GiffGaff for £15 on a 30 day contract is good value.

Plus you can change your plan every 30 days to take the higher or lesser data tariffs as you wish without being tied in for 12 months, or having to call a number everytime you want to make a change.
I just get the £20 goodybag and forget about everything else, it is truly unlimited.

I can download as much as I want knowing I wont be charged any more. I can tether with impunity. I can allow and have allowed 10 work colleagues to share my connection via a mifi device at sites without broadband.

It drops from 4g to 3g after so many gigabytes but for my uses I hardly noticed. The download speeds were little different from my alleged 10mb fibre broadband (1mb real world downl0ad speeds, although all testing programmes show it as 10mb)
