Found these packs of tesco value shortbread in the biscuit isle today, 10 finger packs ideal for in lunchboxes or picnic bags. I've tried these before and think there are just as good as any shortbread you can buy.

Sorry no pic

These kind of deals are almost always store specific, which one did you spot them in?

ill be honest i hated the taste, but thats just personal taste

I actually quite like the taste of them, they're not to rich, I;ve bought them from a couple of local stores in the wolverhampton area

Mum got about 6 packs. Cant complain at 9p a pack.

shortbread should taste like shortbread not a cheap immitation :whistling:

They have always been this price in my local and they are yummy!!!!

I've been buying these for ages, not as rich as the more expensive shortbreads.
On the other hand they do the job, with a cup of tea.
If you like the rich buttery taste then go and spend £1 or £2 - for me this 9p a packet "does what it says on the tin"

They actually contain 10 biscuits
And has already been posted!

my son prefers these to branded ones, excellant price aswell so i dont complain hot

They have been this price for about a month..

I stocked up a month ago , expecting them to shoot back up to aroud the 40p they were previously sold at. Surprisingly they have stayed at 9p.

They are not consistant from pack to pack - some packs are better than others ( in particular the amount of sugar sprinkled on top varies greatly).. Its better than the cheap shortbread you see in pound shops though.

They have already been posted.

Personally I love them, not quite as nice as the £1+ packets but perfectly acceptable.
Not quite as buttery as the best, top of the range, shortbread – but for God’s sake 9p a packet!
I try and buy them before all the local students buy the entire shelf, which is not as often as I would like.

Great deal Tesco.

great price

Saw SEL at Stevenage, but shelf as bare:-(

Go on, treat the family :o/

Out of stock in the Solihull store, they substituted with some 38p ones in my home delivery

This is incredibly cheap.
Will definitely have to try these.

I tried posting this last week and it got spammed because it had already been posted:?:x

9p shortbread tastes like 9p shortbread I'm afraid - only really any good for dunking in your tea (yes - I have tried them). If you really like shortbread the Tescos own shortbread fingers is pretty good - more expensive but you get more in the packet and tastes a whole lot better.

The previous deal should not have been expired as I got some last week.....

it was posted just over a month ago ..maybe it wasnt quite a month old when you tried to post ?

Sainsburys have a low price version I usually get. 12 or 14p I think. Ok not as cheap but if you shop at Sainsburys...

Presumably the same in a different wrapper

I've bought them in 3 different stores including Cornwall and Norfolk so they're everywhere.

Bought 10 packs the other month when the deal was first posted. You can't argue with 9 pence!

Are these made with sawdust ?

I buy these for a cheap snack every now and then - they're quite good. Obviously, not the best shortbread I've ever tasted but they are nice. As other people said, not as rich as the more expensive ones, but for 9p you can't complain.

In the Tesco Metro in Salisbury City Centre, there always seems to be plenty of stock on the shelf (there has been every time I've looked).

Great another normal priced item that's been posted,it's not a deal

I had some for about 15p at Sainsburys - my husband loves these but there were absolutely awful would not waste my money again.
still if you are on a budget a good price and kids don't seem to notice

There had been comments on the original deal the day before cacaroca duplicated it. This should be expired too, as it has still not been a month!

Normal price was 36p so this is a deal, and i suspect that it will eventually return to that sort of price

This has been 9p for a long time-not 36p! And this is a duplicate post!

Why not eat cardboard instead? Or is this still cheaper?

They've been 9p for a canny while, they taste lovely - certainly don't taste cheap'n'nasty - truth told, there's very little difference between this and the expensive stuff and believe me I'm a bit of a label snob

No sign of these today.:x

Just checked online and see Sainsburys do their basic shortbread fingers at 12p for a 160g pack.
Anyone tried them?

Was last posted nearly 2 months ago and that post has been expired:whistling:

is this online as well? couldnt find

Bought some last week (at last they arrived in the store).
They are much better than the Sainsburys 12p ones imo.
Going to stock up tomorrow, if they've got any left!

Tried these the other day - been on the lookout for them since seeing this post.

Verdict - excellent taste, and you couldn't make them for this (well - obviously Tesco's can!). Will be stocking u and using in my packed lunch for the forseeable future
