A brand new car for £5995 otr, with a genuine warranty not like a warranty you will get on a used car for similar money. Used car warranties can be a pain to claim on and you usually have to pay for the repair first and hope the warranty company pays up, many will try to put this your claim down to wear and tear.

With this brand new car it is total peace of mind motoring, also some will say the 1.0 litre engine will be under powered but this new 1.0 litre engine is more powerful and economical than the previous 1.2 engine, also these cars are very light at 969kg so the power to weight ratio is better than some Vauxhall corsa's for example.

Pretty poor reliability, thankfully it comes with a warranty

2016 - 2nd from last

2017 - 5th from last

Also - how the car actually looks, image above is the £7,400 spec version!

Please make an informed decision all - penny wise pound foolish springs to mind!

Has no stereo/radio
Has no central locking
Has no electric windows - manual wind-up windows only (front and back).

Obviously this deal isn't for everyone, but at this price it will fit many peoples pocket. And winding down a window, turning a key in the lock and not having a radio won't matter a lot. There is actually a top of the range BMW that doesn't have a radio. My son is profoundly deaf and wouldn't thank you for one as a free gift.

I'd rather walk.

Bought mine for £5500 from bristol street motors a couple of months ago (£500 off weekend), love it ,the engine is a peach 1 liter but 3 cylinders and turbo so drives great , 55mpg around town, great stereo from halfords for £150, love mine to bits, it is what it is, £81 pounds a month, no MOTs, breakdown thrown in, just hassle free motoring.....

Yes it is a no frills car but that is also one of the things that makes it reliable and cheap to maintain. There is not a lot to go wrong. Had mine for over 2 years now, does what I want from a car, gets me to work and back every day and gets my family on holidays camping etc.

Is this not the car that took a “star in a reasonably priced car” about 2 hours to get round the top gear track?!!!

Nothing new. Always this price.

Who takes top gear serious? This car has a better power to weight ratio than the 1.4 75ps Vauxhall corsa and many others.

I hope it lasts more than 3 years

And how many of the cars you refer to are under six grand?

Cheap but to be expected for such a poor spec car, keep fit windows, black bumpers (not like the imagine in the post), no mention of in car entertainment but guessing all it would include is standard radio, wheel trims and even with its new more powerful engine it's still only 77hp, 0-60 is over 14 seconds.

If you want a radio get one fitted by your local car audio company probably get one for about £100. I may be wrong but I think this comes with speakers but not the radio

no speakers, mione were £29 from halfords

By a 15 year old honda civic for £500 and get 10 years trouble free motoring with loads of equipment and power

2014 models with decent mileage selling at £4500 so £3800 trade in is a reasonable expectation.
So £2200 three year depreciation which is just under £62pm. This is great value.

No it doesn't include any radio or any speakers. I don't think Dacia expect many people to actually order this base Access version, it just enables it to advertise the headline "From £5,995" price tag.

A 15 to 25 year old Honda will give you total trouble free motoring? I know Honda's are very reliable but I don't even think the advertising men would make such a bold claim.

Which BMW doesn't have a radio?

Given most factory fitted stereos and speakers are mediocre at best, and it would be far cheaper to get far better aftermarket stuff, I would happily take the savings when it comes to the stereo and speakers myself, obviously if it requires doing the full wiring though, that then adds some more work to the job. However remote central locking, electric front windows and air con would be nice, so I'd probably not get this model myself.

I know BMW used to charge extra for a radio in the late 80's but I think they are better equipped nowadays.

Why I know Honda's are reliable they still go through wear and tear items just as much as any car. The dacia should give you a good 3 years before even needing any wear and tear items, over 3 years your civic could require new brakes, clutch, exhaust, tyres and also the cost of mots and any welding etc. The dacia is also more economical saving you possibly a few hundred pounds a year.

A top of the line BMW without a radio? Now this I have to see. Is it just penny pinching or 'hey we're the future, use your Bluetooth'?

I'm fairly sure they do come pre wired for the radio and speakers. I am happy not to have a radio and talk to my passengers as I usually give lifts to work and back etc.

I take it you've not got this 'Access' model then?

Decent price for an A to B car. I'd rather have this than a 2nd hand corsa or polo. Still amazed it's 2017 and you can buy a brand new mass market car without Aircon...

Just noticed - from their website - key features:
  • Hill Start Assist - this has to be a fancy way of describing a brick.

Yes but see above few comments, not looked into getting a radio fitted. Was about to say I enjoy the ambiance but then remembered there is an ambiance version of the sandero and that would just confuse my comment.

I bought a two and a half year old Kia Rio with one owner and 15k on the clock with 4.5 years left on the warranty for the same price from a main dealer.
Much nicer car in my opinion and I doubt the overall running costs would be much different including depreciation.
I'd hate to own a car which lacks such basic features.

Yeah, more stuff to go wrong and you have to pay to get it fixed. Might get this to replace my Nissan Pixo.

Romanian car, very popular back home...

How have they managed to make it so cheaply?

Seriously though, why not buy a three year old Fiesta, Corsa, Up, Fabia, Polo etc. For the same price. At least you'll get a radio and a car that won't fall to bits after 3 years.

Corsa not falling to bits? The door handle falls off first time you close the door. FIAT or 'Fix It Again Tommorow' as its known. And why would you want a 3 year old car for the same price of a new one, you know you can get 10 year old 3 series for same price might aswell get that. Shows how much you know.

It's a car and it's cheap. Bit like own brand beans. They are beans and they are cheap. Not a deal.
