Does it take it up the spout?

You must be thinking of the Tefal Quick Cup. The Breville Hot Cup leaves the water hot to the point I cant start drinking my tea with milk for a good few minutes.
make sure people dont put you off, everyone thinks of the Tefal one cup, which are awful, this makes the water red hot, in independant tests the water was 1 degree less than a kettle once water hit the cup

ROFLMAO
Just to add that this does get the water really hot! Perfect for a hot cuppa tea!
What's the score with filters etc though? Are you constantly purchasing bits to keep this running?

You don't need to purchase a single thing. It's just like a regular kettle except it only boils enough water each time for single cup.
tempting

It isn't a coffee machine. It just boils water, one mugful at a go.

Just with it being a breville I thought....

My similar gadget "Delta from ALDI" or was it LIDLE? only manages 5 degrees lower than my kettle but thats fine for me as coffee does not need boiling water and after 11 years and 240 days in the army....I wouldn't know a proper made cup of tea if I was put on guard with it. oO

And this deal is cheaper so....HOT!

Give or take a degree.

These do BOIL the water, because it is the water reaching 100C and boiling that makes the water go over into the cup.

This is the cheap version that only dispenses a fixed amount (standard mug), so you can't fill a cup or a large mug.

Reserved mine thanks
This isn't instant. If I remember rightly you have to wait about a minute to boil. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes you have to wait, but not a whole minute. I just timed mine- the water starts coming out after 45 seconds and takes about 5-6 seconds to finish.

Yes, it is a fixed amount of water, nearly fills a standard mug but will overflow a teacup.

if it BOILED all the water then there would be nothing but steam and therefore an empty cup
Voting hot beause its not a bad price. Should vote cold for having "Wowzer" in the title!

I prefer this type, but they're unavailable in the UK.. so I ordered this Breville as it looks like a good second best.
Not as hot as a kettle but still good! Hot

Learn some physics before you try and post wise cracks which are wrong.

The water phase diagram would be a good place to start, as would the definition of boiling.

It said home delivery not available BUT when I did a postcode search for my nearest store none had stock and THEN it offered home delivery and took payment - home delivery is available
Would like this but I always drink out of a very big mug so take it this would not fill it.
Just been checking some videos on youtube and it is NOT an instant kettle. Could the OP please remove that from the title. I'm glad I decided to check up on it before going to buy it. The "instant" part was the reason for my interest.

me too we had this one first but got peed off with with mug sizes so got the variable one which is fantastic, had it about a year now worth paying extra for variable cup/mug size also has a bigger tank 2ltr instead of 1.5 ltr and dispenses the water quicker 40 seconds instead of 45.
