Morrisons in Leominster are selling their own free range eggs in boxes of 4 priced at 50p a box, so if you buy 3 boxes, a dozen, rather than the 12 egg box which is priced at £2.48 you are saving yourself 98p. As they say every little helps.

FREE RANGE.

Worth adding "free range" to the title. There are two reasons to buy free range:

1. They taste better
and
2. Animal welfare standards are higher

The order you prioritise those two points is entirely up to you :-)

Also bigsty they are usually fresher .
Supermarket normal eggs tend to be old even before they get there.
I have a stomach ulser and when i eat normal eggs i throw up but not with free range from the farm near us.
Anyone explain that?
Pete

Totally agree with Bigsky. Particularly on the animal welfare point...

Using the Tesco slogan for a Morrisons deal...

I like it.

Is this nationwide, does anyone know? Bit of a long way to go otherwise...

Home Bargains now do free range eggs at a quid for a half dozen. They are large ones too.

EDIT: oops! Read £2.47 as price

What size are these ones?

when animal are fed to be eaten, what's the difference between a 'good life' and a bad life'? the difference is the price tag on the shelf edge.
