Thanks OP. Bought, should come in handy on hols.

Recommend, great read, great series of books, great at 99p.

Great price. Now on book two. Took me about 16 years to finish the first one but it was worth it!

Great series, the books are far better than the tv series.

The books are amazing I'm on a feist for crows. bargain hot

Read them all now.....keeping track of the characters can be testing but really enjoyed them...can't wait for the last two!

Well, anyway, is there a way to purchase a book as a gift? You can do that on Steam for games, so would be surprised if you can't.

Prepare to be surprised!
You can't gift Kindle books or MP3s (yet)

Amazing price for a beautifully written, gripping novel.

I'm a fan of the books and the TV series for different reasons.

He has said that he will complete the story in two more books, they may be split across two volumes again but he says seven is a key number so he will keep to it.

Nice deal. Kindle app works well on my Nexus 7, too.

Great deal, I would have paid more.

I read all current books end-to-end fairly recently and have to agree that they get a bit disjointed towards the end. I'm in two minds whether I actually want to read any more in the series to be honest. Luckily I probably won't have to make that call for perhaps another decade at this rate...

EDIT: PS: Brilliant deal.

Taken 3 months, but finally blasted through the second half of the book while on holiday. I aim to finish the lot before Season 4 begins next April.

I haven't watched any part of this drama, neither have I read any part of the books.

Am I missing out?

Great deal! Reading this on my kindle atm only 39% through 2 months later! I seem to read it in burst hopefully by the time i finish it the 2nd book will be 99 p :P

There are lot's of Kindle titles for 99p at the moment. Some of them are relatively new bestsellers.

If you're a fan of fantasy stories, or perhaps historical and political ones, then you are certainly missing out. Otherwise, it might not be your thing but at 99p surely it's worth trying out? =)

Definitely worth trying out, I started reading the series after they were adverised on offer on here, not usually my sort of thing but hooked me straight away.

Where abouts is season 3 in the canon of the books?

I'm nearing the end of this in audiobook form, if it wasn't so well read (Roy Dotrice) I would given up ages ago. It's really well written but I just don't care about anybody or anything that is going on. I can't see myself continuing onto the other books.

Starting to wish I just watched the TV show, at least there's some titilation to keep my interest.

Each to their own, but I find both book and TV show fantastic. Though, my imagination captured the story more than how it appeared on screen, the characters are all played very well. Well, except Samwell Tarly is a bit more annoying on screen, and the grotesque descriptions not nearly as epic or revealing as the book. I imagined The Hound scarier, and the Mountain moreso, Tyrion a lot more ugly, the direwolves larger, the battles more like lord of the rings, and the death scenes more like Spartacus Blood and Sand.

I don't think they could budget my imagination though unfortunately.

George R R Martin based his writing style on Jack Vance, his fave author (and one of mine. His stuff is weird, unusual and wonderful)

Hot, I've been watching the TV show a lot and for 99p might just read the book now

Cracking price! I am up to date with the books so far but its well worth 99p to have the digital version!

Great value.

Also 99p on Nook.

Incredible price! Is there any other GOT books for a similar price?

The Gods are good.

Season 3 is roughly Book 3 part 1.

Season 4 will be roughly Book 3 part 2.

It's confusing because books 3 and 5 are both a single edition hardback book. But have been split in two for paperback publication. So there are actually 7 paperbacks out, but only 5 books!

Oooh, Feist is in these books now? I wouldn't have thought a 21st Century Canadian singer-songwriter would fit in with a fictional medieval world; just goes to show you, that Georgie is a strange genius to make that one happen!
