Big battery, poor performance, cheap build, crap cameras, and lacking common sensors (brightness, proximity, compass).

Fine for those who only need a phone for very casual use, or those moving from a feature phone. IMO at £80 it still doesn't represent good value for money.

The ZTE A512 or Alcatel A3 deals are better buys, as long as you don't mind 1-day battery life.

Thanks, might get for my gym MP3 player and replace the Moto E.

I agree, as this Moto C only has 1GB of RAM.

Not many Moto C reviews out there?

Around this price, there's always very good condition used Moto G4 Pluses (for example) at around 100 and Moto G4's for 83:

They will be getting Oreo, but may not have the duration of support that Moto C's do.

Shouldn't the Moto C Plus have 2GB of RAM not 1GB? Please, someone correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks

Looks like a good deal but isn't. 1GB is painful. For a tenner more, you can get the 2GB variant from motorola. Even then, I wouldn't recommend. Build quality is not great, too much plastic and bezel but the killer is lack of sensors. No compass or even proximity sensor. It would make a decent budget phone with clean Android but 80 quid isn't budget these days. Xiaomi 4x eats this for breakfast for an extra 20 quid. If you are not hung up on dual SIM you can find similar phones as this at half the price.

There are two variants available in the UK. The one from Argos is 1GB.

That's what I thought, but I checked instore and it's 1GB. Only way to get 2GB is from Motorola direct, which is baffling to me.

I take it back then, I've only ever used the 2Gb one. Which is an excellent phone for everyday use as I said. I'm sure other have had 2GB from Argos, perhaps it has changed.

Bezel, plastic, who cares. It's comfy, nice to hold and easy to use and doesn't fall apart.

£100 for others is a quarter of the price again, that's quite an increase in cost.

I asked Motorola, they said they only sold the 2GB version. They really should advertise this, more people might buy direct from them if they knew!

I realised i only really need a basic android ... light use couple apps facebook national rail etc need to be able to get one next day as selling old one.. thought this was best option at 75quid ( ive a fiver voucher) if anyone could suggest an alternative i would be grateful

Thanks but it's £85 now!

Rubbish deal. Some real comedians here. If you want a budget phone what's spending £79.95 all about? This is worth £59.95 at best and that's only because of dual SIM being a rare thing in the UK phone market.
