Excellent reviews - looks a great offer for £32pppn.
If like the members of Blur, you know someone who could do with some time in a house - a very big house - in the country, then this might be just the ticket. With today’s Groupon, guests of the New House Country Hotel in Thornhill, near Cardiff, can spend a relaxed night away, with afternoon tea upon arrival, a full Welsh breakfast in the morning, and lots of rural charm for £64 instead of £159.

Nestled on the northern fringes of Cardiff, The New Country House Hotel offers its many loyal customers stunning views over the city and the Vale of Glamorgan. Complete with open fires, exquisite furnishings and décor, with touches of old-fashioned charm in the form of four-poster beds and traditionally upholstered chairs, The New Country House Hotel could be the setting of an Agatha Christie mystery or a weekend away for Jeeves and Wooster. The location of the hotel is perfectly situated for rural and urban pursuits alike, being but a short drive from Cardiff city in one direction and picturesque countryside in the other.

With this Groupon, weekenders can revel in the splendour of centuries past and enjoy great British traditions such as afternoon tea in the brightly-coloured, quaint Sequoia restaurant, and a traditional Welsh breakfast in the morning.

did a quick search on best western site. all rooms £112.50 for bed and breakfast in march from what I saw. so do they count afternoon tea as being worth £46.50?!!!
£64 is a decent price but the hotel is miles out, if traffic is kind it will take you at least 20-30 minutes to get to the city centre. not much in the area of the hotel.
