I was looking for a camera system for checking on cattle on a farm with no power. This system has a solar panel for self charging and uses 4g and sim card to broadcast pictures to me anywhere I have signal. The only thing I had to do first was charge the in built battery it took about 6 hours and the solar panel will now keep it topped up. Reolinks own website are charging £242 for the same system. Very easy to fit and set up.

About this item

    Regularly cheaper according to Keepa:

If not in a hurry then wait for the next £215 or less price drop.

Have the same camera purchased for a lot less on Amazon 1yr ago and partnered with a special voda SIM for the data.very good quality pictures and even though the British weather isn't very bright, this keeps going with the solar panel in all seasons. Definitely wait for a price drop if you really want.Amazon nearly every 2 months have a reolink voucher on most of their stuff for £50 ish off .

I have returned a Reolink static camera and solar panel because the solar panel failed and stopped charging the battery. Not sure how one with a 360 motor would last

Personally i wouldn't get one with a solar panel for power to charge a battery unit, if the battery fails or doesn't charge properly you could lose the camera when you need it most

Additionally lots of complaints about it losing power after just 2 hrs and not charging properly especially in winter months

I have owned a number of brands of solar powered wifi & 3g/4g CCTV cameras.

In the North of England during the months between October & February, even in good locations there is rarely enough light to keep the cameras operating through the day meaning they were effectively useless when most needed. The exception is one I have with the solar panel having 8 18650 batteries installed which I can ultimately replace & I have the panel installed on the TV aerial to get the maximum light through the day.

I have upgraded in all other areas to cameras running 5V transformers

Hello. Which transformer do you recommend, do you have a model or a link? Thanks
