Looks like a good deal. I bought an a119s with GPS mount yesterday for £64.

Only reason I wouldnt get the GPS mount is my speed may be used against me in case of a collision

Turn it up and enjoy the lovely harmony lol.
Have one of these for 2 years now and the video is very good
New and old versions ...pot luck which you get. In the blur
Hmmm, no mention as to what max SD card capacity is.

Ill do some digging - back shortly

EDIT: Some sites are stating "Requires 32GB MicroSD card" I take it that will be max capacity then

its only the mount bracket isn't it? it is still the same internal product.
I have one of these and use a 64gb card with no problem
Does this have a built in battery? If so, what's the battery life like?

Edit. It doesn't.

Tempted to get one of these like
Do you have to mess around and find an auto electrician to wire these in? That's what puts me off getting one
Ordered anyways
Heat! Paid over 40 quid for my one and still serves me well! Done a lot of research before settling on this one so for £25 it's a no brainer!
How good is the night recording on this? All the video recordings I've seen of this, I've noticed you can't even read the number plates or any of the vital info in the highest 1080p night recordings. Only seems to record ok during daylight which makes it kind of useless(?). Also saw a reviewer openly say you CAN'T read number plates at night with this camera, which appears to confirm what I thought. Also - how often is this thing being updated with firmware and where are you meant to get the software/firmware?

This is the exact same chipset as the two G1WH dash cameras I have. Lots of newer ones are a poorer chipset, but the original ones were as this, and with care you can still find the right ones in G1W, G1WCB and G1WH versions.

A lot easier to mount too, lots of different options exist - mine hangs from the rearview mirror and on the post of the rear headrest at the back!

They usually do, but it is small for brief use, the whole point is for it to run on when you start the car!
This or the Mobius? Apparently the Mobius is a good one.

from where ?
Bought around 10 over the past few months for friends and family from gearbeast and all arrived via yodel within 10 working days.

i originally bought one of these from amazon for around £50 a couple of years back and have had no issues. The ones from gearbest are identical except the firmware is slightly different. Only difference I can see is that it has an anti-sleep mode which I think makes it beep so you dont doze off! Really cant go wrong with this camera.
Does this have a parking sensor?
Why are people making claims of quality and linking to reviews of the real Viofo camera when this is a fake that normally comes with a different and much worse sensor?

I want one but I've read a lot of bad reviews about Gearbests clone of this camera.

Brought an original VIOFO A118C-2 (2017) with GPS for £59 from Amazon checked with them that it was a genuine one as there are a lot of copy A118's around (you can check youtube out how to spot the copies) and they are crap!

This looks like a copy to me by the box should come in an original Viofo box with a proper multi language manual with good translated English.

The A118C-2 is the best one A119 has a horrible mount and the A118 & A118C the camera isn't good enough the C-2 camera is better than the A119 IMO.

I use mine for rear facing camera with a Velcro strip to hold it and tucked back so you cant see the camera unless you are directly in eye line of it. its small enough and light enough to hold in place with nearly zero vibration affecting the image. Picture quality is better than my Mio 518 which I have on the front.

Worth getting if its a genuine VioFo one, a random A118 will probably not last.
Also - on the FAQ page someone asked Gearbest what is the difference between this and the Viofo one and I noticed in their answer they listed this one as only having 30FPS and that one supporting 30FPS and 60FPS (?). They have also confirmed this is definitely not a Viofo one if you look at the faq.

Getting put off now after the last 3 comments. Shame because it seemed like a real bargain at this price.
Wish I'd read the last few comments before ordering
Yes order for cheapness ,but doubt it will be of value like viof
It'll be my first cam to play with,so I'll give it a shot.
Most reviews are pretty positive so might not be too bad.

Is it possible to switch the GPS off on the A118C-2?

Any idea if the A118C-2 is better than the Mobius Dash Cams?
I said at the top that It's a viofo clone. You can get a viofo from Amazon uk from seller called spytech. but looking at YouTube vids and spec info, this uses the exact same chipsets as the viofo one which is why I have bought one.

there are a lot of g1w clones out there too, which use rubbish chipsets, so avoid those. this is probably the best clone you'll get of the viofo

Yes it will but you need to have it hooked up to a power source.for example my SEAT 12v socket stays on all the time and therefore you can set the camera to capture anything with the proximity sense(not sure how good it is). My BMW on the other hand is linked to the ignition and therefore it will only work while we are driving so it wont catch car park dings etc... I would say that the picture is really sharp and the night vision is also pretty decent. I have mine hidden behind my RV miror and you can't see unless you are looking for it.
