Online breakdown basic is £30 with possible £19 quidco
Be careful with the AA as they charge your account the following year for renewal at a higher rate and have your account set for auto renewal.
Pretty good for current price, although it was £30 with £29quidco only a few weeks ago (net total of £1 )

What makes primary service so special

My partner was charged £165 renewal, waited 6 weeks and around 10 phone-calls to be refunded. she sent bank letters to them and finally spoke to the finance people at the AA and they refunded her.
£39, a £20 boots voucher, auto renewal and 50 phone calls regarding car insurance, home insurance, life insurance, pet insurance etc No thanks!

Soon as my home insurance is up I'm leaving the AA. I've got my breakdown for free via Ford Servicing anyway.

I have to say that I've had completely the opposite experience to you!

I also have the top package for dual person with homestart and relay etc and got it for £90 after quidco. More recently I've only had to use them once on a Friday evening in rush hour on the M1 and they were with me within half an hour and got me on my way no problem. With my previous car I may as well have bought shares in the company, but again, I had nothing but good experiences with them... I was probably calling them out 2/3 times a year!

It is true that they ramp up their renewal prices, they tried to charge me £200+ for mine... it came down to £130 after a phone call, but I cancelled it and started another policy in my wife's name with me as the second driver so I could get quidco again (~£90). Then next year we'll cancel again and I'll become the primary driver with my wife as the second... It's a tiny bit of hassle each year but saves us an extra £40/50
In case anyone stills lurks these old threads.

The following was MY experience.

Cashback DID NOT track.

When I did need their assistance:
Took 45 minutes to get through to a human being.

3 hours later still no recovery, so I fixed the car myself.

Don't waste your money with these pricks.
