Hope this makes sense, TopCashback are offering £84.98 (Quidco £75) off a package costing £149 or more, the AA are also giving away a £50 Fuel Card when you buy 3 option packages. The following package works out at £149 and with the cashback and fuel card value, it works out at just £14.02 if you only want a "Vehicle policy" or £24.02 if you want a "Personal Policy" which covers you in any car, van or motorcycle. (Home Start, Relay and Onward Travel)

I was just looking for a cheap way to renew to get my 20% off at MOTO Services now they have started checking expiry dates. Now I ended up buying a full package

Now, as we most know, cashback isn't guaranteed, but as all the terms are being met and no codes are used, there is no reason I can see why it won't work.

Make sure you use a separate browser to buy and be careful when clicking the "Get Deal" link if it gets changed to the AA site, because the commission could end up going to HUKD. (This was submitted as a TCB Deal rather than an AA deal for this very reason).

You MUST also pay for this policy in full in order to qualify for cashback.

TCB Link: topcashback.co.uk/aa_…wn/

Quidco Link (If you don't have/want TCB): quidco.com/aa-…ver

In the terms it states that the fuel offer is not available to customers arriving from 'cashback' websites.

TCB Offer Terms

What else is essential?

Cashback is for new AA customers only. If you have cancelled an existing AA breakdown membership or received a renewal invitation from the AA in the last 60 days, your cashback will be declined.

Customers purchasing breakdown cover in conjunction with any other AA offers, such as new car purchases or free memberships with Car and Home Insurance policies, will not be eligible for cashback.

AA UK Business Breakdown Cover does NOT qualify for cashback.

Any queries related to missing cashback must be submitted to Topcashback with a valid 16 digit AA membership number in order to validate. Queries submitted without this information will be not be processed. Missing Cashback Claims may take up to 6 months to be processed.

Members should not contact the AA directly for any queries.

AA UK Breakdown cashback is available through Topcashback on genuine, tracked transactions that are completed immediately and wholly online. Any untracked sale and incorrect commission claims raised after 100 days from their transaction date will be automatically declined as per terms and conditions.

You will only be awarded cashback if you buy through the link on this page and make your purchase without interruptions in your online transaction.

Annual AA UK Breakdown cover policies must be paid in full in order to qualify for the cashback. Customers paying for their membership on a monthly basis will not be eligible for cashback.

We will not pay cashback for any policy that have been cancelled or are in arrears at the time of validation. Validation period is approximately 60 days from policy start date when paying in full.

Anyone not had topcashback pay out?
Be careful as TCB site link takes you to an affiliate link and doesn't show the fuel card offer.
You may get both, but I'd get confirmation first.
Yes, TCB are a law upon themselves, but equally the AA have been known to renege on providing both cashback and an additional offer.
If you can obtain both, then a great deal.
I can't see the free fuel

You will if you go to the AA direct.

Thanks backinstock. Don't think I'll bother. Not worth the risk when Start Rescue renewal is only £30
We pay £56 greenflag for 2 cars. No homestart or onward travel. I wonder if onward travel should be added and we are up for renewal. Will study this offer.
I very much doubt that you still get the £50 fuel card when going via TCB, as it doesn't show up on the AA website when doing so. If that's the case, this deal would be £64.02 or £74.02. Still not bad for what you get though.
Think I'll stick with my nationwide flex plus account

Have you ever had to call on Green Flag? Shocking service in my experience.

No. My mate called out the AA to his central town car breakdown. They sent a giant recovery truck that could not get in the town. Some sort of lorry pick up truck. They said they would send a smaller truck but never. 2 hours later when he phoned they refused to come back as they said they could not get to his car. The police phoned the AA for him and told them to send a standard truck as the car was on a normal road and was blocking traffic which AA eventually did. AA then towed his car to there car pound in Manchester which is 150 miles away with all his work stuff in the boot. Lol. I'm staying with greenflag. Can't be worse?

i was thinking of getting a flex plus acct as upgrading to worldwide travel insurance costs £40 anyway. seems good value to also get breakdown cover

I agree, only had bad service with them both times I called them out
The basic breakdown cover (£28-TCB/Quidco) now covers only one breakdown per year!!! Extra breakdowns £99 each!! That's disgusting. "Cover for 1 call-out a year. Extra call-outs available for £99 each" oO oO oO
start rescue all the way

I only see that if you go via AA direct, not through TCB.
you should never rely on cash back and it is a bonus if it is paid
No mention of the fuel card when you go via TCB, went all the way to the final payment page.
insurance choice breakdown is £30pa for basic cover, any car under 7 years old.

Thanks OP!
Be careful with this, the AA are terrible at declining the topcashback/quidco for no reason. Most of my transactions track and pay normally with both quidco and tcb but everytime I have used the AA (for car and home insurance) the AA have cancelled the cashback months after its tracked fine. I did pretty much the same deal as this last year (no fuel card though so thought it had more chance of going through) and got stung as they refused to pay. In a previous year I used them and despite getting the fuel card payment didn't get the cashback as they said I had the fuel card and couldn't have both, so you'd be very lucky to get both (have to hope they don't notice). Just be aware if you're taking a chance and signing up based on receiving all the perks....... I won't be using the AA again when cashback forms part of the deal
Wouldn't waste my money your better off paying a one off towing fee that's basically all you'll get know plenty of people who have used breakdown companies and 9 outa 10 will just tow you to a garage or home they certainly ain't no mechanical help
ADAC in Germany covers all of Europe and is far cheaper...typically I pay some €80. They even use AA if you breakdown in UK! adac.de/mit…fe/
Typical rippoff UK.
We buy RAC cover through a broker. Top of the range policy for £69. We did the tcb/aa a few years ago and had major problems getting them to pay. Tcb didn't want to know.
Clearly states:

This offer is available to UK residents only; one claim per customer only. It's not available to customers arriving from 'cashback' websites including Quidco, Top Cashback, Asperity and Greasy Palm. There is no cash alternative and the AA reserves the right to withdraw or alter this promotion without prior notice at any time.

start rescue all the way

I've been using start rescue for a while now and I have been very happy with it as well and you won't have to risk not getting the cash back option.
I've just looked at start. it looks really good, not sure between 2/3 star for my daughter but will definitely go for one of them.
Start Rescue looks very competitive, can't seem to find many reviews of them online though, anyone help ?

(never mind, just found the 'reviews' section on their site....)

I can agree with that comment. We broke down, wife, 2yr old son and 2 week old baby. Green flag turned up, glanced at engine while dropping the bonnet then towed me home. He commented that modern cars are too complicated to bother with. I hadn't even told him what the problem was.
Hence, I bounce between the AA and RAC each year, collecting cash back through Quidco.
Whats the advantage of being with AA? Ive normally used cheapo services (£30ish), and they normally just send a local recovery service within a decent time frame and take me home (even when im a good hour and a half away).

Gem are worth looking at for breakdown cover. They seem to win the Auto Express awards every year and their prices are better than the usual suspects. £66 for comprehensive cover.

Also you get 20% off food and drink at Harvester, Toby Carvery, Sizzling Pubs, Crown Carveries and a few other places. Easily saved more than my vehicle membership after cash back cost me this year.

Not sure what to do when my vehicle membership runs out. Can I get my wife to sign up for cover? Would this bypass the 60 day previous member rule? Normally bounce from AA to RAC with cash ack but need to stay with AA for the restaurant discounts so need to find a way to get a good deal when renewal comes round.

I used to have both, RAC for Roadchef (No longer accepted) and AA for MOTO 20% off at Costa, BK, WHS and Restaurant, 10% off at M&S inside MOTO.

I only renewed AA because now MOTO swipe the card and it comes up expired
I personally recommended start rescue. They offer a brilliant service and are miles cheaper than the aa. You get tcb cashback for joining too.
AutoAid still takes some beating. This offer doesn't do it.

Looks good, but wouldn't want pay and reclaim personally.
I have bought this now, I did it through the topcashback website. The £81 cashback has registered onto my account under the "pending" status. Any idea how long it takes to get to "payable" status? Theyve said AA pay quite quickly but could be weeks. Also the fuel card is included and you have to apply for it 28 days after purchase.
