As a tip - if you're not an AA breakdown member, but are looking for home insurance, car insurance etc and find the AA offer a good deal, if you buy over the phone with them and ask them to better the price, ask for them to include free breakdown cover for the year and they'll often honour this, certainly from my experience. Sometimes it's also offered online, so you can combine with cashback too.

Other offers can be viewed here - theaa.com/rew…tml under the various tabs under 'Offers of the Month'. I received an email yesterday about the new travel offers, including this Moto one.

Don't think so, I'm just a basic member. Once you pop your card number in on that page, it just says you have to present your card to get the discount, I don't expect them to be checking individual card numbers.

Thats great! I am a member but I didnt know that! Thanks!

No problem, other offers can be viewed here - theaa.com/rew…tml under the various tabs under 'Offers of the Month'. I received an email yesterday about the new travel offers, including this Moto one.

AA road breakdown is the best investment I made for my car

Download moto app and you get discounts anyway

It used to be the RAC that offered this, I used it alot when travelling down the country, instead I generally just use the deals on the Moto App which gives similar if not better deals some times, but they change daily so this offer every day is good :-)

This isnt a new deal,i havent been with the AA for at least 3 years and they were giving the discount then.they give other discounts too,so check your membership.

After 15 years with the AA and no call outs the renewal price keeps going up, so much so that it was extortionate again this year (£180). Normally calling and asking to match the RAC price (£100) yields a heavy discount, however this time I was told "we don't price match". So much for customer loyalty - as such I'm now with another much cheaper provider!

No one offers discounts for customer loyalty. I have never spent more than £38 a year for basic cover and always got quidco on that. If you do need a recovery of the motorway the AA will offer you an upgrade. Why pay for something you may need? I only pay when I need it :-)

My AA membership is through my bank account, is this form of membership part of the offer !!!

If you have an AA membership card, yes. As highlighted above, otherwise try the Moto app at the moment as currently has the same offers.

Their loss if they won't price match.
They tried to quote me some stupid price for renewing last year but I told them I would pay what they were offering new members for the same options, take it or leave it. They took it.
Will probably cancel this year though or suspend since I got pretty much the same package when I got my car serviced by Seat as a freebie.
