Hi everyone,

I am always looking for good deals for this dog food. I have just bought 10 bags (I stock up for a year as the best before date is about 1 year and 6 months).

Amazon has just dropped the price to £38 (fetch is £53.32 and RPP is £65.99) and they are running promotions for prime users that can reduce the price to £22.8 per bag if you use subscribe and save. You can add as many bags as you want to your subscription and cancel future subscription as soon as you receive your first order.

Vouchers to use for 40% off in total (apparently you might have to subscribe to at least 10 bags for the extra 20% off to work, I understand it could be quite a lot for some people but if you have a large dog like me it should be easily eatten in less than a year)
- Prime Members save an extra 20% on your first 'Subscribe and Save' subscription using code 20SNSPRIME
- 20% off your first Pet Food subscription with code PETFOOD20

can you not?, I got my order last week when the price was higher per bag but the code stack worked (bags were 53.32 but got them for less than 32, 40% off), I thought it would work on the new price of 38 pounds too. Maybe amazon has but the lower band to 30. can someone else confirm?

I tried both the codes and one was redeemed to take it down to £30 but the 20SNSPRIME was rejected saying cannot be applied to your purchase. I've never used it before so maybe a problem there.
Looks a good food so I may still go ahead, thanks!

just something I wanted everyone to be aware of is amazon will confirmed the price (£38 pounds for the moment) once your subscribe and save order is dispatched. so if I was you I would book it on the earliest available date as if the price goes back up they will update your order and apply the 40% on the new higher price as soon as it gets dispatched. This is the subscribe and save rule. If the price goes back up you can obviously cancel your order before they deliver it
Neither of the codes work for me, fair enough for the 20SNSPRIME, but I’ve never had a subscription for pet food.

My advice to you is to try and put them in something. I had a 7.5KG bag of Royal Canin in my garage. It was unopened but it took the little F****ks no time to get in it!!! I had to bin it all 😩
Just subscribed for this last month........well guess what.... that's cancelled
Bought a few bags... last well in to next year.......nice one son

I will take on the advice (I would be very sad if I had to bin 100kg+), better be safe than sorry. Tbh it never crossed my mind it could attract rats lol

Does anyone realise that 'bargain' large bags of kibble will potentially go rancid before you manage to use all the kibble up. The oxidation process (causing fats to go rancid and food essentially going off) starts as soon as you open a bag of kibble. Storing in an airtight container does not help, it just makes things tidier (unless it's in a vacuum). Experts say that kibble should be used within 7 days of first opening and if you need it longer store it in a freezer - check this link out here for more info.
Sorry to be a party pooper but it's something that manufacturers are well aware of but it's usually a case of profits before the health of our pets, so they're not likely to warn you about this on the pack (I don't know about this product).
On the plus side this looks like one of the better quality kibbles available at a good price, just make sure you have plenty of freezer space available if you expect a bag to last for a month (or more)! You should store outside as well unless you have a cool, dark and dry place in the house (unlikely in the winter when most people have their central heating on permanently) and if outside make sure you secure the bags from mice and rats as someone else has already mentioned - I've also had one 'broken in to' in the past.

This process starts as soon as the oil is harvested, (otherwise known as processing) All vegetable oils are bad news for pets and us. Really coconut, olive, ghee and butter are the only ok oils.
