Aberlour 12 Year Old
The 12 year-old expression is a fine example of how the distinctively crisp, citrus character of Aberlour’s raw spirit is deftly softened by double cask maturation. Traditional oak and seasoned Sherry butts are both used to great effect, as the mellowed spirits within are combined to deliver a subtly balanced flavour.

Rich, Spicy & Seductively Sweet
Colour: Golden amber with hints of ruby.

Nose: Soft and rounded, with fruity notes of red apple.

Palate: A fine sherried character, balanced with rich chocolate, toffee, cinnamon and ginger spiciness.

Finish: Warming and lingering – sweet and slightly spicy.

The Range
Our single malts are made from expertly crafted new spirit, usually double cask matured for at least 12 years in the finest hand-picked Oloroso Sherry butts and first fill Bourbon casks. When judged ready for bottling, the subtly different flavours of the whisky from each type of cask are orchestrated into a distinguished range of rich, rewardingly complex single malts.

For people who know whisky, the result is an unusually engrossing, many-layered experience.

Hi @Forgottenshopper the system is incorrectly auto tagging some threads with 'Freebie's - there can be a slight refresh delay so they allocate after mod review so if you see any please report using link on thread and we'll amend

Bought this and it's terrible. Taste like paint thinner , incredibly rough. If you want something smooth go for the Balvenie although it's a bit dearer...it's worth it

This was Jon_OvZafirst post and the idea is to help each other !! To quote you -"It’s not difficult to understand, yet you seem unable to grasp the concept".. And if you read Sigma's comment you would see that the system is incorrectly auto tagging some threads with 'Freebie's
So thanks for your sarcasm.. Oh and least he has posted a deal unlike yourself, who to date has contributed with three comments..
Has a distinct red apple flavour to me, i see this more as a summer whisky. mixes well in fruity cocktails (i know shoot me right). This is just IMO.

What rubbish. Decent whisky at a decent price . "The" Balvenie is about as good a whisky but with a pay for the name premium.

Had to add up to three teaspoons of water to this stuff as opposed to my usual 2 max. It settled down after it had been in the glass a while but very very poor stuff ... preferred the 10 Yr minature
Great whisky for this money. Nice big flavour but well balanced. Don't think you will find much better for £25
