very young wiskey
haven't tried this, though looks good. Year of bottling is irrelevant for whisky as it doesn't age in the bottle. How long did it mature in the barrel. Scotch whisky can't be called such unless aged for at least 3 years, but no scotch whisky is aged less than 8 ( to my knowledge)
According to Wikipedia, each batch of this whisky is blended from barrels ranging from 5 to 25 years old.
I just ordered the Aberlour A'bunadh, an Ardbeg 10YO and an £8 bottle of wine. Total price (including cashback): £56.50
Phenomenal value
I would say your knowledge was short then - plenty of 5 year old scotches on the market, for instance the Orchy one from Lidl.
If there is no age declaration on the bottle always assume three years.
If they were to state an "age" on the bottle then, in Scotch Whisky legal terms, it must be the youngest of the casks added....i.e. 5 years old!
