That wasn't him/her being constructive, it was him/her stating their opinion.

That being said, does this work on fat?

Why not buy one and see ?

Sorry, but no 'Ab belt', or any 'Ab development equipment' will give you a six pack, or even enhance your physique in any way. You could do a thousand sit ups a day and still not see a difference.

Truth is, pretty much everyone would have a great looking set of Abs.....if their BMI is 10 or under.
Save your £5 for something that may actually be of some use.

Go learn some core exercises, do a lot of cardio, that's all free and will actually work.

They sell these at my local market for £1

I bought one of these before my wedding/honeymoon to, you know "get fit". It worked for me. Funny sensation at first. Whack it up to full blast. That's a right laugh. But it does work if used properly.

Anyway.....my local market don't sell them for £1, and I paid £8 for this. So I reckon this is hot.

I bought it just before xmas from play.com as a stocking filler for someone, only cost me £2.99 then.
Cant comment on how good it is, as its never been taken out the box

Fair point. But they'd certainly get quite toned.

Utter poppycock. To get a BMI of 10 you'd have to be skeletal. Literally nothing but bones. Even very anorexic people usually have a BMI of around 15. You certainly wouldn't have any abs, the muscle weight alone would push you way up on BMI.

I am disappointed, you start out as if you have an idea what your talking about then descend into tosh.....

It won't get you abs. You'd need to do some weights really to get properly defined abs. You get a nice flat stomach from cardio though.

products just a gimmick.

I think Jukkie is confusing BMI for body fat: BMI is 'body mass index', and this is a calculation based on individual weight and height. For most people around 20 to 23 is healthy. To have 10 you'd only weigh around 60lbs (just over 4 stone). If you are of average height and weigh that little, then if you aint dead yet you will be soon.

Body fat can be measured by an electronic gizmo, and having just 10% body fat would be healthy, though you'd still need to do some abdominal exercises to have a defined six pack.

With these toners, on their own they are pretty much ineffectual, but they are believed to help to a degree as long you take true exercise regularly and watch your diet.

I bought one of these at £2.99 when they were on offer and yes they do work if you use them properly and will create tension and muscle but people are right you won't get abs like that just from this alone you do need to diet and do cardio. This is just one of many tools to help you along the way.

well lets all get going to the gym then!
